Yes, all people should go vegan, but NO that should NOT be the only thing to calm people. The "peace" in this sort of music doesn't just come from Nature. It comes from vigorous conflict and chaos as well. And that, not just from Nature, but from the action of Man, who is part of Nature. By that, I mean if you were a king, wouldn't you want such music to calm your mind ? So it emanates from those circumstances too. Remember that there's the music of War as well, with loud and spirited percussions and shouting. Yet somehow there's the impression that Chinese traditional music is all about lovey-dovey peace and harmony. It isn't. If it were, it wouldn't be the Tao. This new-agey fantasy- world we run off to through music is escapist sentimentality. A Romance. Enjoy it, but don't get addicted to it. As a chinese, I prefer Reality over it anytime. I feel the same way with Celtic music. And silence is the best music for taichi or yoga or painting. Because we need to 'listen' to what it says to us while we do it. If we need to get into 'the mood' to do it thru music, we probably need to train ourselves to silence our mind and emotions first that would call for such a need.

I listen to this kind of music while working out physically. Of course, my workouts consists mainly of martial arts, Shotokan Karate. I also had some 5 years of taichi. I use this music to flow through. I am also a Roman Catholic. l'll be 67 yrs old coming this March, 2016. I have been retired from work, electric utility company for 5 years already. So, my hobby now is go to the health club, workout, and do my martial arts training with what I have learned from 1972 till 2002 formal dojo training.

Ive recently gotten into Tai Chi to help me stay healthy and clear my mind during lockdown. That mindfulness led me to meditation which eventually led me here. Meditation, to me, is a safe space for you to retreat to within yourself. I believe the place I go is my ego. A place I can talk to me, the inner and outer as one. What does your ego-scape look like? Mine is a meadow of yellow grasses surrounded by green trees. Air is slightly warm and dry. Slight breeze. Twilight usually.

I have an ancient Chinese ancestry and although I was born in the West, there is something active in my DNA because I have always loved Chinese music. Chinese music for Meditation, what more could I ask for? My Path took me from Christianity to Hinduism and then to Zen and Tao. This music is bringing me home. Our true home resides in our Inner Reality and our connection to the Universe. We are all connected, interconnected, directly and indirectly and our Spirit is infinite. I am waiting patiently for Humanity to Awaken and seek a Higher Purpose. What is better than a peaceful Humanity? Where the differences between cultures are unimportant and we accept without judgement. The more people who learn this message and pass it on, the faster we will mature as a single Race.
