Editor's Note: The pinyin for 稀罕 is xīhan. This word appears in the sentence ”他們才不稀罕呢,“ they would not care. 稀罕 has a dictionary definition of rare/ rarity, but in colloquial speech is used to mean care. Pinyin for 低 is dī.

The first time after fiona and guilum left this channel I like the videolesson. This one is really good, just because these two have good comunication skills and are able to explain information they are talking about.

Peter's pronunciation is quite good, but at times not very accurate, maybe it would have been better to have the other host speak more chinese, or for her to correct him. Moreover, at 12:19 “Di1” (低) is wrong, it was displayed as “Di3”. But I agree with commenters here that the two hosts fit well together. I look forward to seeing more of them!

Yes. It's 漂亮 [piàoliang]. And it also has other pronunciations. For example, when it means 'to float', it's 1st tone, and when it means 'to bleach', it's 3rd tone.

You can use 一下 with so many different verbs! Here are some common examples: 看一下，等一下，试一下，问一下，前一下名，亲一下，让一下。

hi, guys! I found 2 places are wrong, NO1: 漂亮 pinyin should be piào liang. NO2: at the time 14.38 “他们才不稀罕呢” 稀罕pinyin should be xī hàn.

good lesson. However, However, some of Shirley and Peter‘s Chinese pronunciation is not very standard, a bit foreigner’s accent. Plus, some small mistakes as below. At 1’40 and 2’09, pinyin of 一 should be yi2.

Hi Grace, Thanks for your feedback. About the pinyin, we follow the pinyin rules published by the Chinese Character Reform Commission. One of the rules is that when it comes to tone change, we still have to use the original one.

"感人“ and "感动“ I dont think they explain very well. the subject shoud be sth+感人. the subject should be sb+感动。 they are differenct subject.it is very easy to tell the difference.
