The depreciation of the car is only relevant if you intend to sell the car. If you are not really a car guy and you intend to keep the car for like 10-15 yrs. OK Lang bumili ng brand new. You are sure with what car condition you have and no surprise repairs. But if you are selling the car after 1-3 years Dyan ka talo as it represents the largest monthly depreciation. Opinion from a guy that bought both brand new and 2nd hand car.

absolutelya! we have a mitsubishi adventure brought brandnew year 2002. still servicing our family very well everyday for office and grocery errands. yes may mga minor repairs like motor ng window etc pero no major repair at all. naipangsusundo parin from laguna to naia airports from time to time. never pa kami tinirik. basta alaga lang sa gamit and yearly maintenance. i believe isa to sa sulit buys talaga ng family :)

Appraiser ako sa bank dati kotse. Ang trick niyan pag 2nd hand is 1 year less Ng brand new bilin nio. Almost new but almost 30% less the original price. Ayos ba.

@@cherylduron2341 ibig nya po sabihin, once you purchased a brand new car, kapag lumabas na yan sa casa baba na agad ang value in less than one year kasi may less na syang 30% sa original price. I'd rather choose a 2nd hand car na almost brandew. Naka save ka pa.😊

I have has both brand new cars and 2nd hand cars already. Based from my experience, kung may pambili ka always go for brand new. Kung bibili ka ng 2nd hand mas cheaper pero in the long run, magagastusan ka rin sa mga repairs at kung i sum up mo ang repair costs mo and compare it to a brand new car cost, it evens out. Sa brand new hindi sumakit ulo mo, sa 2nd hand sumakit ulo mo, nagka aberya ka sa daan due to trouble sa car, at pabalik balik ka sa repair shop masyadong abala. Lahat ng galaw mo may presyo, yung oras na nasayang due to repairs, mga paghihintay dahil di mo nagamit ang old car mo. Ang brand new right out mas mahal dahil wala ka aalahanin na repairs in the next few years. Between brand new and 2nd hand, doon ka na sa brand new kung meron ka naman pambili

2nd hand car ko. I can say depende kung marunong ka tumingin at marunong ka sa kotse talaga. So far 2 years na sya ang very minimal lng ang pinapaayos ko. For me mas masakit sa ulo yung M.A ng limang taon and hindi naten alam yung mangyayari sa next 5 years. Accord 1994 user 😜

if you're planning to loan a car, make sure that you use the money to invest na magbbigay sayo ng pambayad for the monthly amortization :)

Mas mainam na kapag used cars ang hanap mo....... -mas maganda ang makipag meet up sa former owner na bibilhan para mas maayos ang maging negotiation -mas mainam na may kasama kang trusted technician (mekaniko) mo to check any problems -tulad rin na pagbili ng brand new, mas mainam parin na may pang-down para hindi gaano mabigat -mas mainam kung ang bibilhina 2nd hand unit ay stock original (no aftermarket parts or accessories) At mas mainam na mga brand na subok na at mas mataas ang value at indemand

Isang point pa po is if mag buy ka ng brand new, meron ka Peace of Mind while driving n di ka hula ng hula kung kelan ka masisiraan or ano ang next mong ipapaayos sa 2nd hand lalo n at di mo alam ang car history at ang driving style ng previous owner. Ksi meron na bumili ng 2nd hand at kung kwentahin yun pnaayos nya quarterly per year eh prang ksing price n rin ng brand new kung kwentahin. Mrami pang kelangan isaalang-alang, di lang about money or depreciation ksi kung long term use nman ang sasakyan eh good deal to buy a brand new car. Pro kung meron ka lng certain period of use like 4-5 years kung OFW ka eh 2nd hand ang good deal ksi ibebenta mo rin nman.

I agree! We bought a 1995 nissan sentra for 120k, first car namin! As in walang alam sa kotse ang asawa ko, pero tyinaga nya talagang aralin everytime na masisira or ipapagawa. Ngayon sya na gumagawa at kabisado na nya bawat pyesa. Luma tingnan pero marami nagsasabi ang tulin nya parang bago, daming napapalingon kse ang porma daw. Isa pa almost lahat ng "bells and whistles" ngayon mabibili mo na e. Generally speaking, people buy cars not for its features, but for the feeling it gives you, para sa image, that's like Sales 101. Pero kung pratical lng, wala naman problema kahit luma, ang importante maayos kang magmaneho at mag-alaga ng gamit. Pansinin nyo halos lahat ng me bangas, bago, ni wala pa ngang plaka.

Aside from that you have to think about other expenses like : - Madali ba hanapan ng mga piyesa yung sasakyan?. - Insurance - Gas and maintenance Higit sa lahat may pagpaparkingan ba kotse mo? Yung ibang tao kasi makabili lang ng sasakyan pero sa kalsada naman nakaparada. Abala sa ibang motorista.

Mr Chinkee, ilang beses ko nrinig ang “Pay in Cash” pero I think, what you meant is “Pay in Full”. Sa akin e okay lang po na mag-depreciate ang value ng ng kotse ko dahil naenjoy ko na po. Tulad ng sinabi nyo na kung 1M, magiging 500 k na lang pagkatapos ng 5 taon. So 100k ang ibababa kada taon. P100,000/52 weeks per year = P1,923/week. P385.00/day , kung 5 araw gamitin P320/day , kung 6 araw gamitin Sa palagay ko e resonable na ung P385 o P320 na depreciation dahil masaya ako, kumbinyente pa lalo na mgkksabay kaming magsimba at mamasyal kaming pamilya kasama ang mga lolo at lola. Salamat po!

Di pa kasama interest nyan like if you loaned a 1.5m php SUV or pickup truck by the end of 5 years you ended up paying 1.9m php aside from its deoreciation price. Sir chinkee has a very valid point. Its your capacity to pay specially with hight interest rates in banks. If you have the cash then why not if not then you better think twice.

Absolutely True, i bought a 2nd hand car under 250k more than 3 years ago, and up to now still in good condition, minor replacements of bushings lang nagasto ko aside from regular oil change, i have no worries sa gasgas kasi sanay na hahaha but the upsides is nagamit ko na kahit OFF ROAD hahahaha thats happines u cant do in a brand new car

If I have 1m to buy brand new in cash...I'd rather have a loan for that car...and use the 1m for a business that generates cash to pay for the monthly amortization...I think this the most rational way of reasoning.

Cars are considered Expense in a financial statement meaning it depreciates so if A. Brandnew-Ok sayo maging double the price un babayaran dats good as long as hnd burden un cost sayo push B. 2nd Hand- be cautious bring expert mechanic or watch videos on how to check 2nd hand cars wala masama sa pagiging practical- all 2nd hand have issues tlga taking extra care is necessary tlga 😊

When my son graduated from high school, I bought him a used BMW. I paid it in cash and didn't lose a lot of money once the car is driven off the car lot. Since it's his first car his better of driving a used car.

Yng car ko corolla 1994. Mgnda pa rin ang takbo. Palitan mo lng ang mga piyesa na luma ng bago. Parang bago ba rin. 80k lang bili pero kaya ng tumagal ng another 5 years pa :)

20yrs na nga akin sir 2nd owner.. basta preventive maintenance lang.. wala talaga problema.yun yung d nila alam sa mga 2nd hand eh..kaya wala tay0ng problema m0nthly.

consider a repo car instead of a second hand car (direct from owner). some repo cars are less than 1 month old (ginamit ng mga foreigner or OFW na nag bakasyon). a ton of repo cars are in very good condition (they are well taken care off, but the previous owners just cant pay for them anymore) and a repo car gets about 5% cheaper every 2-4 weeks. whether you take a brand new car, second hand, or a repo car.... just do your math right.

Pag 1st car siguro second hand muna to experience how it is magka kotse. Pati pag maintain. Di rin kasi biro talaga. Pag ok ka na, saka na bumili ng bago. May mga kaibigan ako na walang kaalam alam sa sasakyan kumuha ng bago. Ayun, bangga dito, bangga duon. Nagugulat din sa mga periodic maintenance na kelangang gawin sa oto. Ako second hand na luma. Totoong may mga issues pero ok lang kasi gusto ko matutong mag ayos kahit basic lang. So far so good. Magastos sa totoo lang pero kung iisipin ko mga natutunan ko, worth it. Di ko matututunan hands on kung brand new ang kinuha namin.

Our car is second hand, we got it from a repair shop. In God grace, its still doing good job. I used it to practice my driving skills. I always got a comments that I have a nice car, nobody knows that its only second hand.

Rich Dad Poor Dad book of Robert Kiyosaki changed my view about buying Liabilities. The books says “ buy luxury from your passive income or Assets” (unless the car is intended for business, which will help you build your assest) So when that moment comes when I can buy a brand new car, I’ll see to it that it will help me BRING In MORE MONEY instead if TAKE OUT. For now, I’ll save for my 2nd hand car 😅

I just bought a bank repo mirage g4 for only 390k 2019 acquired 2020, with 4000 kms, i spent another 6k for in out detailing to restore its beauty adnd change oil, and minor fixing.. practically its now brand new of less than half the price. Now a days 2nd there are so much 2nd hand cars that are close to brand new.. fb market place is populated with it

@@jessarea8706 hi its not a direct bank purchase, there stil a middle man between buyer and bank, that middle man will be the one to play on the auction, and he will be the one to sell it to prospective buyer.. the good thing with bank repo is as is where is., what you see, is the real mileage and the flaws are not aesthetically repaired.. this is our first time to acquire a bank repo., and we had a good deal., you just proceed to 5th - 7th floor north park beside the block.. marami dun.. look for Ban.. mura ang car dun promise

disadvantage ng ganun, few months na natambay ang sasakyan, WALA SILA PAKIALAM sa maintenance ng sasakyan, low mileage nga pero hindi nag cchange oil etc, dead battery, walang car wash, alalahanin natin pag matagal naitambay ang sasakyan ng hindi umaandar mas nababawasan ang reliabiity nito maaring pagkabili nyo after few weeks maglabasan ang sakit ng 2nd hand car nabili mo o repossessed car from bank. kaya nga may rule ang bank na as is e wala sila pananagutan. BETTER mag sama ng mechanic para ma check ang car, kung makita nyo kunwari napakaitim at amoy gasolina na ang oil ng saksakyan wag nyo na bilhin maaring humahalo na ang gasoline sa engine oil malaking problema na yun..MAGANDA KUNG ANG REPOSSESSED CAR MAKUHA NYO MGA 2 MONTHS BELOW PALANG NATETENGGA SA WAREHOUSE NG BANK, PERO! syempre risk padin kasi 2ND HAND padin yun hindi natin alam pano ginamit ng 1st owner. BEST padin na magsama talaga ng mekaniko.. pag uwi ng pinas 2nd hand car din balak ko bilhin :D pero yoko ng repossessed cars kadalasan matagal na nakatambay mga kotse dun.

Agree. Most probably go for brands whose parts are readily available in the market. Pra hnd klngan mghintay ng mtgal kng skali klngan ng repairs. Kng dna man mrunong tmingin s makina, bring someone who knows. A mechanic friend would be better. Pinakatinitignan tlga jan is makina. A single nut that is out of place will cost you a lot pg hnd nkita.

Ang ginawa ko noon may 300k ako. Gusto ko brand new. Naghanap ako ng zero dp. Nakakuha ako accent diesel 10k down 18k monthly. Ginawa ko binayaran ko yung 10k down tapos yung natirang 290k inadvance ko na so may 16months akong advance pero binabayaran ko sya monthly parin kaya may allowance akong 16months. Nung time na kulang pang monthly ko dineposit ko kahit kulang okay lang kasi may 16months advance ako. So ganon ginagawa ko lagi ko sinisikap mabayaran monthly pero pag kinapos ibanayad ko kahit konti ibabawas nalang dun sa advance ko. Sa december matatapos na syang bayaran may 6monthz advance pako

Buy a 5 to 10 years old Lexus or Toyota they are very reliable and last for along time. Syempre pick a nice one yung wala pang accident history and flooded if you can get a carfax then do so. Pa check mo sa isang magaling na mechanic for pre-purchase inspection before you buy. Stay away from German cars Mercedes, bmw and Audi sasakit ulo mo sa repair costs believe me I’ve been there.

Right now I am riding an old mitsubishi lancer, bought at a very low price so far in 2 years nasa mga 30k more or less pa lng yung nagastos sa maintenance including repairs and change oil and yet serves well pa din maganda pa rin ang makina ng lancer. Relate maxado sa sinabi ni sir chinkee na hindi maxado masakit sa damdamin pag nagasgasan 😄😂

I think there are more factors to consider also. I disagree with buying a brand new car in CASH. I am paying my brand new car monthly instead of paying it full. Instead of the money I will pay for full I added it up for new branch of my business. Now that business is paying my car monthly and still keep extra profit for more savings. Di na nawala ung pera ko nadagdagan pa ang kita ko and I am enjoying using a brand new car. Less maintenance pa. Win win situation for me. I always don't buy any expensive things in full 'coz I can still use the money to generate more income that can afford to pay the monthly amortization of something I want to acquire.

In the USA theres a huge market for second hand or used cars simply because of the savings you can get since cars depreciate yearly. You just have to be smart of the choices in choosing what car you would buy. Also, the mileage of the car is also something to take into consideration since more mileage means more wear and tear so if you find a used car around 3-4 years old with little mileage plus in good condition that could be a steal considering if the price is reasonable. We could also notice that 3 year old cars are not that different from the newer model in terms of the enginw and its technology usually its just aesthetics changing every year.

Another point missed, kapag kasi naginstallment ka ng bayad it would give you time to invest the P1,000,000 cash. You need to consider if for example 1.4m nga yung total pag installment within 5 years pero kung nainvest mo naman it could turn to 2 million or more.

New or 2nd hand vehicle ay pareho din naman ang pupuntahan at makakarating din sa paroroonan at ang difference lang ay "comfort ride". 4. As is where is- ayaw ko maging alipin ako ng car ko at pag nagka scratch at lalo yung nakahiram ang may gawa at sasama pa ang loob ko. You can buy good sedans at prices lower than 500k, Honda Civic FB or Mitsubishi Lancer GTA is what I am looking at right now. Both came from 2012. Ofcourse, you gotta buy smart. Bring you mechanic. I still see 90s model Civics and alike still running across metro with no problem. Sometimes its not how old the car is, its how you take care of it. Plus, new cars in financing has almost 50% loan interests, on top of your DP and it depreciate in years to come. This is a solid video to discuss all this.

maganda to pra sa employee. pero sa negosyante hindi advisable mag labas ng malaking pera pra pang bili ng sasakyan. kc kelangan ung pera pang cash flow paikot ng business. ang binibilang lng dito is ung gastos. hindi ung pumapasok na income. ako kumuha ako ng motor 2700 monthly. meron side car. ngaun pinapahiram ko sa mga kapit bahay pambili ng isda sa bulungan. nag babayad ng 250 per day ung isa pang deliver isda. over all isang buwan kumikita xa ng 11k. 3yrs ko xa huhulugan. freedom of idea so i agree to disagree to this video. over all not bad. iba2 kc perspective ng tao. if u wear a lense of employee u'll see this way, if u wear a business man lense u'll see differently. sayang ang pera matutulog sa isang sasakyan.

@@peterhope9719 sakto boss pag employee kukuha ng sasakyan per personal. usually mga negosyante kukuha ng sasakyan magiging possible source of income like delivery ng mga package or maging for rent nila or others. ako if kukuha ako ayoko maging pabigat sa bills un kaya hahanapan ko praan na maghanap buhay xa sa sarili nia. na meron xa pang bayad sa sarili niang monthly.

It is better to buy a 2nd hand car that is slightly used. The difference in value is quite big. If I have to pay for maintenance in the 2nd hand car to make it like new, it is still just a fraction of the value of the brand new car.

I think it depends on the mileage of the used car. The higher the mileage, the more maintenance and expenses you will have to pay.

I’m not after mileage 42 yrs na US khit luma basta ok ang maintenance history kung may accident or salvaged baka sira ang chassis or front or rear end damaged at depende sa kotse small engine 1.0 1.3 wd turbo 3cylinder life span 2to3 yrs may sira na.If possible buy 1.4 to 2.0 or v6 aspirated engine .I tried 280Z,300ZXTurbo,TOYOTA SUPRA 3.0, Turbo PORCHE CAYMAN 2.9, PORCHE BOXSTER 2.7 both PANCAKE ENG. and Last HONDA ACCORD SPORT 2.0 TURBO..the best to the 2 pancake eng
