1992 ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்த பாடல் வெளியானது. அதுவரை மணிரத்னம் படங்களுக்கு எல்லாம் இளையராஜாதான் இசை...இதுவும் இளையராஜாதான் இசையமைத்திருந்தார் என நினைத்தேன். ஆனால் ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மான் என புதியவர் இசையமைத்துள்ளார் என அறிந்து ஒரு பக்கம் இளையராஜா இல்லையா என வருத்தம். மறுபக்கம் இந்த புதிய இசையை கேட்கும்போது புதிய அனுபவம். அப்போதெல்லாம் கேசட் தான். அதிலும் கம்பெனி கேசட்டில் ரிக்கார்டிங் குவாலிட்டி நன்றாக இருக்கும் என அதைத்தான் வாங்குவேன்‌ . ரோஜா படத்தின் பாடல்கள் அனைத்தும் செம எஃபெக்ட் டாக இருக்கும். டப்பா டேப் ரிகார்டராக இருந்தாலும் சும்மா பிச்சு உதவும்....அப்போது ஆரம்பித்தது ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மான் அவர்களின் சகாப்தம். இதோ முப்பத்திரண்டு ஆண்டுகள் கடந்தும் இந்த பாடலை கேட்கும் போதும் அதே பரவசம். அருமை... வாழ்க ஏ.ஆர்.ஆர்❤❤❤

I'm a 90s kid from Sri Lanka and let me tell you, this song was fire! Even though I didn't understand any of the lyrics, the beat and the happiness in the singer's voice were just magical. Everyone in my generation was hooked on this song. I remember dancing to it at my preschool's annual concert. Man, I wish we had video recordings back in the day!

I’m Sri Lankan non-Tamil person and this song is so deep in my mind I break into tears amidst a whirlwind of strangely endearing emotions every time I hear this song. I don’t even understand it beyond 1-2 songs. I ran to the TV everytime this song played on national tv back then in the 90s. Hi Dilip ! I don't know if you would remember me from the Christian Media Center, (in Eldams road), recordings with Patrick Rosario, the blind composer.. . I remember having a lot of fun playing the snare drum and the Hi-hats with you and the other fellow-musicians.. . I couldn't play the whole drum-set because it would have been too heavy for the christian music which was produced there, at that time.. . But, I enjoyed each and every moment of the time that we were able to spend together, at the studio floor, for the recordings, as well during the time we got to spend during lunch time and having fun discussing amongst crazed musicians. . . Those were the young and wild times.. . Now, at the age of 56, listening to your 'masterpieces' has always brought tears to my eyes. . . You are a gifted child of The God Almighty, be He Jesus Christ or Allah !. . . Dilip Kumar from San Thome High School / a keyboard player under Ilayaraja. . .??? You are great ! That is all !
