@emil3740 emil3740 - There are dangers and missions that are not made fully public. Combat deployments vary - right now it is mainly about helping and peacekeeping, such as in the Ukraine. It varies from year to year...... and you'd be surprised at how much you can get scared even in peacetime. Join a tactical helicopter squadron - you'll see what I mean.

In all due respect, lighten-up. The camera is unforgiving. I, myself, am pretty fit, but on camera, my gut seems to show. They are all healthy and fit for the job they are tasked. And once out in the field or theatre, people can easily drop 10 to 20lbs within a week or so

@@Lord_of_The_World - 36 year career and I never saw anyone lose 10 - 20 lbs in a week despite severe and extreme exercises in Canada and Germany. I don't doubt that they are healthy, but still every pound extra slows you and lowers your performance. Could prove to be a life and death matter in some cases . But with all due respect, I will lighten up - as retirement has, errrr, permitted me to put on a slight gut myself.
