A genus makes the nearly impossible look SO easy. We all have our own talents, but some people are so beyond the curve that one wonders where did these people actually come from? Chip is in that group of ultra-gifted people that inspire us all. Thanks Dude!!!

Such a gift! Knowing when to stop yet knowing when to add takes foresight but ya can't get there without a creative mind & talent! Oh how I'd love a project to be given some creative direction by Chip. While I can't get my head out of the days of the 80's you bring those days mixed with the modern era yet still capturing the vintage style. It's not an easy task to do all that yet also still incorporate the essence of true Hot Rodding! If only my '34 Chev Delivery could carry all those traits. (I already have the wheels I bought when I travelled to the States a few years ago, the only 2 x V Rod Harley headlights I bought spares at the time in Australia (So I'll form some custom buckets for them & the basic driveline I have) It's the overall concept that I seem to be missing, though Chip you have always been an inspiration, I'm sure I can get what's in my head to finally build my dream car. Thanks for the inspiration !!

It is funny he uses such a cheap pen to do the line drawings. The chartpak markers he adds the color with on the other hand. Not so cheap.

What would have bee hilarious is if you had first presented him with a rendering that reflected having made it appear as an oversized Beetle. Semaphores, wadded-up cloth sunroof, turn the hood down so it looks like someone sticking their tongue out, etc.

A car that was ahead of its time and, due to several defects, died before it could take off. It was the first car to be tested in a wind tunnel, the first unibody, and the first to use a 50/50 weight distribution for better ride quality and handling. Customers found the appearance too futuristic, which really was a set back to car design. Looking back now, it was the start of the art deco design in the automotive years.

Those are very common Drafting tools! As are the French curves he uses. I have a collection of them. If your son can take a Drafting class in HS he should! I'm a Mechanical Engineer (now retired) and I've done ink on Vellum. AND I have my own Drafting board at home! 😁
