I've driven a Ford C series from that era with a Cat 3208. They could have been descending a cliff and just let off the throttle and the truck would have rolled to a stop. Damn thing could barely get out of its own way.

Harald sound's like a stick in the mud with his proper uturn in the midst of a car chase. And it always amazes me how cause can flip over just when you run up in the back of them in the '70s.

Landing gear on trailer magically lowered when he uncoupled. No one ever cranked the landing gear down.

When me and my friend were 9 years old in 1978 I had a babysitter and she was 17 and she was driving me and my friend home from the beach in her little two door car and it didn't have air-conditioning so it was really hot inside the car. My babysitter was driving to fast around this curve and she screamed girls hang on and me and my friend screamed as the car ran off the road and flipped over and over down a huge hill with me and my friend in the backseat and we were scratched up from the breaking glass because both of us were wearing only our bikini tops and bottoms and both of us were barefooted. When me and my friend was 9 years old we always would wear our bikinis and go barefooted all the time everywhere even riding in the car

@@imadrifter Now my teenage daughter is 16 years old and my other daughter is 8 years old and my one night she was at her friends house swimming in her pool. The teenage sister was driving both girls to the store in her little car. A emergency person called me and said that my daughter was in a car crash.

@@bcroadgeek5404 That’s not true at all. They were very common, even in the sixties. They weren’t over-the-shoulder belts, though, you couldn’t tell in these scenes if they used them or not.

The cars both flip by hitting the one car and the 3rd car flips and the he hit doesn't move. We see the one suspect do something to unhitch the trailer and later you see the trailer with the landing gear down. But the suspect never let it down.

These scenes always cracked me up as I had a new Kawasaki KZ at the time and I assure you I could put my front tire within 6 inches of the back bumper of any Corvette or Trans Am of the day under any condition let alone a Semi Tractor I am not sure what John and Ponch rode but mine did 0 to 60 in 5.7 and quarter mile in 12.8 with 138 MPH top speed I didn't follow Corvettes I blew past them with ease.

If you are a trucker you should be laughing your ass off. Even in the seventies , air brakes if they fail automatically lock up on commercial vehicles. When the pressure drops ,the spring brakes engage and bring the vehicle to a stop.

They released three CD's of CHiPs music a few years back (corresponding to seasons 2-3), but they must be out of print bc they're listed for over $100 each on Amazon. I'm glad I bought them when they were at normal prices.

No it was a watch commander who came in for an episode they called him “Apple bates” and he was hard on the Chp till he realized they are the best officers around! The episode is called “the watch commander”

Don't forget the air line was severed when they pulled loose from the trailer. You also need air to use the clutch to put the truck in gear.

En el minuto 1:15 de CHip's Ojo con lo siguiente : estos 2 oficiales a los cual el el oficial john baker que en ese momento se cruzó en sentido contrario x que iva en persecución de1tracto remolque de color blanco le hizo la seña de apollo la cosa hasta alli va bien pero x orto lado fijense ojo lo siguiente : ninguno de estos 2 oficiales que a pesar de que estan abordo de 1vehiculo Oficial yvan en apoyo del Oficial john baker ninguno de los 2se preocupo x utilizar el cinturón de seguridad del vehículo patrulla y eso esta muy mal eso eso es 1muy mal ejemplo de su parte y eso no deve ser permitido y +aun si van en 1persecucion que exede x mucho el limite de velocidad permitido que tal si se accidentan a causa de esa persecución acabarían siendo lanzados fuera de la patrulla y seria muy desastroso y desafortunado y a1se la hacen cardiacay cansada cuando 1comete sin saberlo 1 infracción de tránsito y ni te pongas agresivo x te va peor hasta andas perdiendo tu licencia de conducir solo vean lo que les digo chequenlo ojo mucho ojo ok

En el minuto 1:16 1:16 1:16Ninguno de los 2 lleva puesto el cinturón de seguridad y además van en persecución de 2rufianes a estos 2policias deberían de darles 1muy severa llamada de atención y además están excediendo elimite de velocidad permitido en la calles de la ciudad van a causar un accidente x su conducta inapropiada son 1mauy mal ejemplo para los demás ciudadanos ojo autoridades choquen eso si es 1problema muy serio ok
