"Evidências" is a song composed by José Augusto and Paulo Sérgio Valle in 1989, which became famous after being recorded by Chitãozinho & Xororó on the album Cowboy do Asfalto in 1990, becoming the second most performed song on radio this year, and was still widely played in 1991. The track is one of the most recognized of the duo, being performed until today in concerts and re-recorded by other singers.

Frank, the translation was a bit off. There is no other guy, that part goes like "Say it's true, that you miss me (..)". It's basically a song about someone who tries to deny their love due to the fear of loss, but can't hide the evidences of that love and, even though says otherwise, wants that love to be confirmed by the other person.

"Evidências" is a very iconic song, it was a big hit when it was launched, but something happened recently that made this song more popular amongst young people now. Some one posted on some social media about corruption in politics and someone commented "no more lies", quoting the chorus of this song. And everyone else commented with the next line of the song. It was already an anthem of love. Tipically it doesnt matter of type of music a person enjoys more, "evidências" is a national anthem. LOL
