Our dream ride to Spiti was finally done! This first video in the series of videos where we explore the last Indian village in Kinnaur valley - Chitkul which is also rated the village with the cleanest air. Later we went to Kalpa where our day ended. Enjoy this beautiful journey with us.

About Chitkul -
Chitkul is a village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. During winters, the place mostly remains covered with the snow and the inhabitants move to lower regions of Himachal. According to a recent study by Centre of Atmospheric Sciences at IIT Delhi, Chitkul has the cleanest air in India.

Just bumped into your channel. The least I can say is I am more than happy to be here. :) I lived in a secluded village in the high mountains and forests beyond Mcleodganj for around a year and half. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Would have had lifelong regrets not opting for it! I don't watch anything related to the mountains or think about the times I spent there. The pain and heaviness of the memories is insurmountable. Today, I just let it go. And the tears can't stop rolling down! All the best to both of you. Hoping for more videos! 😊🙏🏽

Thank you so much 😀 It was a 10 days trip in total. Total expenditure we didn't calculate as such. But you can assume 1200-1500 per person per day excluding fuel.

We had gone in October first week. And seriously, this is the best time to visit. Very less tourists and loverly colors all around!

Spiti looks different altogether. Show more of the road, how you dealt with slush and off-road bits. This is one of the first videos I have seen of Spiti in autumn. Most of the videos have never shown Autumn colours of Spiti.

Roads were fine altogether. No off-roading until the last day. But yes, next video is going to be awesome because we finally enter spiti and see its astounding beauty.
