I interact with so many Pakistanis here in usa, and lemme tell you when they start speaking punjabi, and I get to ask them questions, specially about weddings, I have come to find out how similar are our weddings, on both sides of Punjab. I am not talking about the religious part but the cultural. Like the rituals and the folk songs and stuff, you know. Its really incredible.

Therefore it means The girl(bride) who was lucky got mehndi applied on her hand.

In US and UK when i travel i have interact with people from Pak and they are just exactly like what we have in India Punjab, they love you back. Brother Hardeep please visit partition stories on KZfaq, you will cry when you will come to know what was done to the punjabis migrating to Pakistan. I am a non Punjabi and I haven't seen a single Punjabi person longing for merger of east and west Punjabs. But I always notice people of east Punjab wishing this thing. I hope they must be repenting on what they did in 1947.

actualy najam shahzad this song was my dadi favourite song.she used to say that it was sung during her mariage.you are true that saraiki was created after 1947 but there is no singal word in this song that is not used in saraiki.all are in use .my dadi used to say it multani song.so as i saidi it as saraiki.but this is folk punjabi as it is folk so it was for whole punjab.your are true thalochi ,derawali ,multani,riasti were considered as punjabi .she used to sung it .
