Chitty's one of my favourite movie cars of all time. She is so thankful for being given a second chance of life she will always be a wonderful car to the children and their father.

This was an absolutely magical moment in the film. Chitty would always be grateful to Mr. Potts for restoring her to life.

Besides the opening races, that reveal of Chitty after a long restoration just hits home with me. I loved that scene so much I became a restorer of British cars! Working on my own Aston Martin currently, from "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" which was done by the same production company as Chitty. I think that it is such a romantic notion for a man to rescue/restore a classic car in his own workshop, then share it with the world. All those rainy, cold nights working away, hot days cooped up in the workshop while others are out in the sunshine, all pay off when she is finally revealed. After working on her for all that time, (in reality that project would have taken years, but Chitty is magical), I would be bloody annoyed if some pudgy, sausage eating Baron fired at her with a canon!

chitty does make a intresting noise when Caractacus potts starts the car.

I just love Grandpa and his disparaging remarks to his son. "Nice pile of junk you have there my boy. It'll never go, my dears. Not if he's had anything to do with it!"

I like that chitty car too and more importantly chitty chitty bang bang is now part of the west end musical
