I'm happy she took the rejection kinda well, unlike my girl Haru. Haru looks like she's gonna go off herself when she goes back to her room

People always feel bad for Haru but this one is the only actual rejection as Sumire is the only one that actually speaks up despite her lack of confidence and track record of failure and still takes it in the chin like a champ. Ann and Makoto never even sem interested and feel like they just said fck it, why not. Haru is interested but never says anything and tries to lead Joker into confessing, Futaba doesn't even understand what she feels.

I wish more games gave players options like this. Most games push me into romancing the girl whether I'm interested or not.

Good think nobody will actually see this in their game apart for content sakes.

I kept waiting for Sumire to break, for her to slip and tear up, for her dialogue lines to stutter, but she never did. I think seeing how she took rejection, something I've never seen any LP-er of P5R do (yet), really showed me how strong she is.

I have this gut feeling that if I reject Sumire she might turn into a yandere.

Does that mean we don’t get the gymnastics scene with the coach in this timeline?

Not sure I get the new hive mind love for Kasumire tbh. I liked her at first, and I did plan on romancing her. But........ idk, the more time the game spent on her, the more annoying and self-important I found her. She talks a modest game and yet is always inserting herself into the protag’s life in weird overbearing ways. Stuff like that’d make sense for your party members, y’all spent ages together and been through shit, but Kasumire? Not nearly. I guess ultimately it feels pushy and undeserved to me, whereas at least with P4 Marie they inserted a bunch of lore along with her that connected to the existing set pieces. Kasumire is kinda just slapped on top like an underwritten afterthought and then dribbled around in a couple spots in the middle.

Had to come here knowing I'm going to reject her in NG+ and prepare myself. 😂 She's my number 1 in the game, but Haru's was the most heartbreaking reaction, although Sumire's stings because it's a full-on love confession.

See, I know Joker keeps his relationships secret, but I’d feel so much better about this if I had the option to decline specifically because I’m already in a relationship. I started Ann’s romance when it became available and every rejection felt horrible afterwards, especially this one where you just outright reject Sumire, in contrast to some of the other romances where you just ignore their hints.

This is why I disagree with Sumire being the canon love interest as you have the option to reject her.
