This is one of my all time favourite animes! This video is absolutely gorgeous! Chizuru and Hijikata's love story is THE BEST anime love story ever by far. So mature and beautiful. This video and anime made me cry for days!:')

I always cry when I see them together, happy and sad tears :') Its so beautiful, the love they shared, and the tragic times they had together ~ fighting for what they believe in together. This is love. This is spirit, and strength :) They will always be in each others hearts forever :')

Oh, and this made me sob like a baby. So did the ending of Hakuouki. It's so sad! And I wanted Hijikata and Chizuru to be together from the start.

i knew those two loves each other. i totally called it (others most likely as well). could've seen me while i watching the series, saying stuff like "those totally loves each other, just haven't noticed/admit it" and "hehe, cuz it's obvious they LIKE each other >8D" while trying not to be loud. couldn't help myself, i was being a total fangirl for the pairing lol XDD chizuru's so lucky to be around hawt guys for who knows how long

In this one specifically there's two, consisting of about 22 episodes. Then there's other things like the OVA's, which is six episodes of chizuru spending time with the different characters, and there's also Reimeiroku, which is a prequel to this anime, and it's one season (twelve episodes). If you watch this one (Shinsengumi Kitan) prepare to cry at least once ;)

i know how you feel! it's so difficult to rewatch an anime that you know the sad ending! no matter how much i loved hakuoki, it makes me sad to just think of rewatching it, just like Chrono Crusade D': so sad !!! but "they'll be in my heart" ;)

im still confuse some wiki that i read says that hijikata was alive and some wiki says he died.. i keep believing the other wikis that he was alive well its quite true that he can wiped her tears by his spirit or it was really him.. Japanese producers should made the ending more clearly besides who would want to die all of them including the main character
