That's a question that goes deeper. I can see someone calling it nosy, but I disagree on weird. He even opened the question up to what were her hopes of how her dad should handle her sexual expression and what that the ideal reaction is. We all know too well most parents don't mind their damn business so asking someones experience with their parent's opinions can make for an interesting answer.

The wording could have been “how does your father feel about your decision to be more open with your audience contrary to the good girl image most were familiar with”. I don’t think that’s inappropriate for an interview to ask but we all feel differently.
