Medicine isn't perfect, nobody was abused. There is is risk to every operation. Luckily only a very small percentage of people change their mind with the majority going on to live far better lives.

Even adults are abused here. The reason behind it is simple: there is no fully informed consent. Side effects of the hormonal treatment, risks of the surgery and longterm issues are completely downplayed. Psychological problems (sexual abuse, puberty, bullying, autism) are not taken care of. People can't make good decisions if information is withheld - no matter if child or adult. And that's what the medical profession does here. It's like: here you get a house for free (when not informing the people about the 10.000 $ monthly maintenance cost, even if they ask about, they are lied to, absolutely no downsides.) SCAM.

How can you hold medical professionals accountable for a legislation which is coming from the top and being pushed down? I have learned that these so called gender therapists had no power to question the applicants, their job was basically affirm the dysphoria and place the candidate to the assembly line. It just blows my mind that formula is still so demonized. It saves a lot of lives. I like to ask the really militant types if my parents should have just let me starve to death when my mom dried up early, early, early? I've got a close friend who was pre-eclampsic and her medical team essentially hid her in a semiprivate room and ignored her for the better part of two days, her body was put under such incredible stress that her milk never came in, and the shaming that followed was horrific. Not every woman can breastfeed and that's okay. I've got another friend who was a single dad from the very beginning and people would bother him about his little girl being a bottle baby. Um, well, Luke could feed, hold, and love his daughter or, no, wait, that was his only choice. In the end, babies love to be loved and they love to eat while being loved. Chloe's going to be a fantastic mom if/when that time comes.

Why would you call them child abusers? They were listening to HER and her parents. She went in looking to transition. She admits at every turn that she was adequately advised of the cons (no breastfeeding, healing journey etc) so I find it unfair to the practitioners who tried to do their best, in good faith on testimony from Chloe and her parents , tried to help her transition. When she uses terms like “it was taken away, I was butchered” SHE signed up for this! They also told her there was a small rate 1-2% of those who change their mind- but overall, most people are overwhelmingly happy and relieved for the gender confirming surgery. Please add bullying to that list, I felt like ***p because of being called ugly and not girlie enough (was a tomboy) and at some point even thought I was a boy. I would have tried to transition if social media like tiktok had influenced me back then, thank goodness they weren't a thing. My heart breaks for today's girls who may be survivors of SA, molestation, bullying and abuse and who might think the answer is transitioning.

Yes, professionals are aware of the "social contagion" part. Parents are in a very powerless position because their kids know the digital possibilities better than them. Kids cannot be isolated from their peers in school, etc. On the top of this, legislation made parents victims. And if a minor kills another person, he or she is tried in juvenile court and given a few years or they are put in a mental hospital. Not only can a child not consent, her parents trusted the doctors who assured them Chloe would kill herself. Doctors are pushing this so hard they ask the parents if they would rather have a dead daughter or a live son. A lot of these kids are just gay or like Chloe, are on the autism spectrum and she had been sexually abused. All these reasons make adolescence even more difficult. Before this madness took hold, transitioning was the absolute last resort and it was only done on fully grown adults.

Stay strong and supportive, I’m going through the same with my daughter and I have said the same to her. I talk to my daughter about why she feels the way she does, I’ve shown her these videos and others to show her, it’s not what she thinks. For months and months now I have shown her unconditional love and support but been strong on my stance, you want that, fine but when your an adult. I’ve found that recently she took her trans flag down and hasn’t been talking about it. She seems happier which makes me happy, I watch her like a hawk because I’m scared and I restricted her iPhone from apps like tik tok and Insta, social media is absolutely toxic for a young mind. I think by me restricting access to socials and being supportive but strong has helped her. I am her mama and her rock and I tell her I fight for her because she is my everything. I hope you’re okay as a mum, because for me, it’s been a long hurtful and draining road.

@@welikegoodies gosh some intensive stuff you and her are going through😕 I work at a hospital and one of the guys that work in my department said the same bout his daughter, just hope he’s got enough sense to do the same as you did for yours but she’s all all ready of age. Just think all this transgender stuff is garbage, you can’t change biology. A guy can’t get pregnant or so called “chest feed”. It’s mental illness and a lot of liberals won’t admit to this!

Talk to your daughter that she can be gender non-conforming, wear masculine clothes etc that makes her comfortable Let her know that there are many ways to be a woman. She can be straight or gay but you will love her regardless.

I get you but instead of taking this approach why not be more supportive and loving and tell her how much you have her best interest at heart and that at this young age she can feel this way and it changes. Why not show her things like this. Get her therapy (if you haven’t already), do research with her about the good, bad and ugly side of this. The brain is fully developed at 25. How much even tell her that so she feels she has a loving and supportive parent that really cares and wants her best interest instead of the medical industry that wants your money. Your approach usually don’t work and with how America is going, she may not need your support in transitioning, and it’s way easier to fund these things with social media and go fund me
