Is it because instead of having chlorophyll at that place, it has chromoplasts there..? , i mean, non green pigments do qualify as carotenoids or chromoplast proper..right?

Only parts with chlorophyll can perform photosynthesis because it is chlorophyll that converts light energy into chemical which is further used in photosynthesis. If the part is not green then it can be chromoplast.

@@adityaverma.3843 if the full plant is non green then some colour is overlaping the colour of chlorophyll....chlorophyll will be still there under the surface, performing photosynthesis, just its colour won't be shown.
