Welp, I’m gonna pull a 🤓 and make an essay about this song. The year was 2023. I was having the time of my life. All my grades were solid the entire year, and everyone knew who I was and all my kind acts I made last year. It was going well…too well. Alas, my sins would catch up to me. There was this girl, I’ll call her Z. Z was just like me, a kind, smart, athletic, and violent person. I hated her at first, since she was good at everything, but then I caught myself falling for her. Eventually I caved in, and the next few months were awesome. But, in July, bad things would occur… In July, after a moth long break, I had enough. I made up my mind over the winter (or summer, whatever), and I was gonna confess on the first week of school. I asked my friend to do it for me, we’ll call them $. So $ went over to Z and told her my request as I went home. I expected Z to reject me, and she did in a very kind way. I was fine, and I continued with my life. In August, things really started to fall apart. Z was flirting with $ right in front of everyone, and it really broke me. I didn’t really understand love at the time, so I saw that as a betrayal from $. Then, in the beginning of September, the whole school gathered to watch a movie. Me and $ were chilling with our friends, but then Z came up to us. I expected her to just say Hi and walk past, but she went to hug $ and chat with him. I was sitting RIGHT NEXT TO $, but she pid no attention to me, even though $ never had a crush on her (he told me). The rest of the night was absolutely terrible. I sat right next to Z watching the movie, but she didn’t talk to me at all. She didn’t talk to me the entire day, really. Then a few days after that, we had a break from school. I took this time to confront my feelings, and realized I was depressed. I never really felt this way, so I just lied on my bed listening to calming music That’s when I found you. I as listening to The Mind Electric that day, then your covers of it appeared on my recommended. I watched it, and immediately fell in love with it. The charming characters and situation was really relatable, and then I watched more covers. Haiku and Hidden in the Sand are my favorites, cause they’re so relatable to my current situation. I then found your creative community of animators and A F@&#*ING GAME. It was truly a great time. Then School started again. I was still depressed, but your music helped me struggle through the days. I thought of, y’know, the *rope on the neck thing* , so I’d listen to your covers again, imagining different ways to go into the light. I confronted $ about it, and he helped me get through those tough times. And so…we reach current day. Me and $ are on good terms again. But I now REALKY don’t like Z. I can’t trust her, or anyone else in general. Despite going to therapy, I still really don’t like it when someone mentions her. Depression left my mind with a scar (pun intended), but you helped mend it. So…thanks. ALRIGHT I’M DONE YOU CAN GO NOW-
