Not really a side piercing kick....more like a side kick. Less of the bolt action and more of the piercing action i.e. up like a front kick with all the power generated through the hips and sword foot turn, right at the end of the kick. Keep trying!

La patada de costado debe tener una alineación correcta pié ,cadera, cabeza formando una línea recta, no de debe asomar hombro cabeza como mirando el pié desde afuera. La punta del pie q patea queda mirando un poco hacia abajo. Se equivoca en la instrucción.

Yo creo que estas hablando a nivel de combate deportivo, y efectivamente, la patada que el explica no sirve para un contexto de combate, pero estamos hablando de las formas tul, el arte, marcialidad, por lo que al final busca más una patada elegante, y en el video lo consigue. Creo que es buena explicación de la patada en el contexto de tul

It must be good to have someone teaching you a little about defending yourself if you ever need to; but I think a woman can teach you the most about how another woman needs to fight, especially when it comes to fighting a man. There's a video on KZfaq titled "woman against man in Muay Thai" and it shows some of the differences between how a woman needs to fight. Most of your strength and muscle mass is in your hips and legs and most of a man's strength is in his upper body, so. Well anyway, you're getting a good enough education where you're at now and I don't really think anybody's going to get very far with you. Thumbs-up and have a good day.
