Today, Vice President Lai Ching-Te Lai came to the library.
When we met Vice President Lai, he said, "I didn't drink too much, I wanted to say that I want to come to you, so I don't want to break your rules.
As usual, we did a lot of homework before meeting him.
Usually he is seen in the media talking about his childhood or his political beliefs.
But we were curious about his inner struggles and doubts.
A politician is always subject to a lot of positive and negative criticism.
The journey is not always smooth, but there are stumbling blocks that we don't see.
How does he feel?
Was he ever confused?
Did he ever give up his career as a doctor and go into politics?
Did he ever question himself for a moment?
Did he ever regret embarking on politics?
What impressed me most was the moment when Lai questioned himself.
Suddenly, I realized that I was much closer to him.
Suddenly, I realized that I was much closer to him. It turned out that he would also be under pressure, have doubts and be confused.
Politician is his identity.
When he took off those four words.
He is no longer so high and mighty, no longer so cold.
He is also a person with blood, tears and warmth.
To us, he is like an elder.
With a worried look and a concerned tone, he asked us, "How much is your rent? How much is your rent? Can you afford to live like this?
Maybe, by watching this episode, you can put his identity aside for a while.
