My wedding dress had lace on the shoulders and I didn't want to be uncomfortable in a strapless bra all day so I found a bra that had clear straps🙌

I struggle with where to find pretty bras that don’t show . I seem to have lost those skills while raising a family . When I was young , we always had full slips , half slips , panty hose and I had shoes and purse to match my outfit . I am inspired by this video 😊 As for something that made my day , my daughter send me the most precious video of her husband in minnie mouse ears and her 18 month old daughter singing “Let it go! Let it go ! “ along with the Disney movie 💕🥰

You are a diamond in the rough and in my 39 years and travels I have NEVER come across someone like that. Until I saw your laundry routine video you filmed in your last house. And the icing on the cake is the attention to detail in your correspondence and care for others. WOWZA! No wonder Jorge isn't worried about the feminine decor in your home! He's snagged not just the unicorn but a golden one at that! It is so sad to see how femininity has been lost in our culture and men are less and less like men. The ladies at Nordstrom have always been so helpful for me getting sized and choosing styles.

I'm still trying to find a bra that I like, found a corset that feels nice, and provides support for my injured back, but find it a bit difficult to wear under "modern" fabrics What made me happy today was the kindness of a stranger. My younger sister is Downs Syndrome and came shopping with me, we were in the self check out, and a person had just made a rude comment about my sister moving slow. That individual changed lanes and a women took his place, began talking with my sister, and complimented her on helping me out. Even though she thought I was my sister's mom 😄 she made my sister smile, and allowed me to see the kindness of a stranger 😊

I switched from Victoria's Secret to Nordstrom's a few years ago. The quality of bras and service was a huge improvement! You do pay for it but I am willing to spend more money on a nicer bra that does the job and an employee who knows hers. Highly recommend if you have a Nordstrom's in your area!

I will sometimes pin my bra straps to the inside of my top if I'm trying to disguise the bra straps and I don't want to go strapless. It allows me to wear one that's more comfortable, but not show my straps. you just have to remember that you've pinned it to your top before you undress so that you don't tear the top away from the bra straps. also by painting it they stay in place all day, and you don't feel like you need to make adjustments constantly to your outfit throughout the day.

Sensible subject today Nikki.. :) Thank you for bringing up straps which dig into your back.. I noticed this happened to me years ago quite by accident! LOL! Many of us are totally unaware since it's not so obvious from where we stand.. And it is a challenging area especially when wearing a fitted top or dress.. My little thing for today, is probably quite silly.. I live in a very busy city. Driving becomes very stressful even at the best of times. This morning I had a lot of grocery shopping to do.. I managed the route along one of our busiest highways (from home to grocery store) with NO RED LIGHTS! Hooray! And NO STOPPING and starting!.. WooHoo!!..There were plenty of cars; but we all travelled effortlessly.. It was wonderful... It certainly helped lift my mood.. Almost ridiculous when I realise the value I place on such things.. But it got my day started on the right foot... And that's always a good thing! Helen xx

I agree that many women do not seem to realise that a white bra will show under a white shirt. I was horrified to find out, a few years ago, that mine were showing. Now I have several nude/skin colour bras and they always work. These things need to be talked about/passed on to our daughters or anyone we are mentoring.

Is anyone else here old enough to remember when women's undergarments were called "fundamentals?" ~ I am "endowed," plus I have sloping shoulders, so purchasing a bra that actually stays up has been a big challenge. I finally found one from Wacoal (on-line) which is underwire, comes in a nude color, and has a "leotard back." So glad the search is over.

Nikki, you might like the Prym shoulder strap holders on Amazon for your bateau necklines; I make my own from snaps & crocheted thread. Bra strap clips & straps are also handy and on Amazon. Since my 7th baby, I’ve gone to bras that have a wide “wing” which is the section going underneath the arm to the hooks/eye sections; Macy’s has a nice selection of these. When I find a great fit, I watch for the $19.99 sales as they are regularly $44 but worth every cent. Thanks for sharing this helpful information! Julie 🌷

There were some great ideas in this video. I like the idea of having a bra that creates smooth lines on the back, but I haven't found one yet that wasn't ugly. I'll have to keep on looking! :) I wonder what your thoughts are, Nikki, on shape wear? Personally, I am so fed up with my tummy looking lumpy, that I decided to order a corset for myself for Christmas this year. At my current weight, there is just no way to achieve smooth lines in any shirt that is even remotely clingy. I'm looking forward to trying it as I hope it will improve my appearance and posture. To answer your question about what brightened my day today? Sending Christmas cards in the mail. I am sending more this year than I usually do, in an effort to maybe put a smile on people's faces at the end of what has been a very trying year. I think is important for all of us especially to remember those elderly we know this Christmas, who may be feeling very lonely and isolated.

This is kind of hard to admit but... I struggle greatly with feeling feminine because my chest is so flat, it's basically nonexistent and my ribs stick out further than my breasts due to scoliosis in my spine. My scoliosis gives me a really weird posture and silhouette, and in combination with my small chest leaves me just wanting to wear huge scarves to hide it all... I honestly do not know what to do, and internet culture isn't helpful at all with their ''just embrace it'' ideology. Help...

Some bras have straps that can be swapped with clear plastic straps. Wearing supportive and non-obvious underwear is so important - the most amazing outfit can be ruined if your underwear pinches or your panty line is obvious. An important part of dressing / presentation which is sometimes ignored. I agree with professional fitting for bras ! Best wishes from Australia xx

I am large chested and like to be modest in my tops. It is hard to not have cleavage when you are my size. The solution for me has been to wear a tank top of the same colour or as close to as I can, under my tops. Costco sells some great ones in a 4 pack. Also, wearing these does help hide seems from bras too.

I love red. So provocative 😱 lol. It's not when you have brown hair and eyes with a fair warm skin tone and a lot of colors look terrible on you. I match mine with my clothing as best as I can but I mostly wear purples, reds and black like you do pinks, blues and those pretty lighter colors. It's more of a personality thing, in my opinion. I've even thought about buying white slips to dye the exact shades I'm wanting in my wardrobe. I measured myself at home with sewing tape after hearing all of the phony salespeople trying to force women into the wrong size to make a sale horror stories. They usually have a page to explain how to do it yourself on a site that sells bras. I don't think this type of stuff is inappropriate. Especially how you present it like a tasteful lady like class. A lot of women aren't teaching their daughters this stuff.

I notice your dresses are mostly fitted. How do you keep so fit? Nikki, how do you keep bra straps in place when you push them out towards the shoulders? I have a long neck & I think boat-neck style neck lines are very feminine & look great on me, but those bra straps always slide right back up & show. I"ve heard of people using safety pins but I don't want to ruin the fabric.

Thank you for this video. Something has always puzzled me even since I was a child: what is it with all the sweet old church ladies wearing white bras under their white blouses?! I’ve never understood it because you can see the whole bra! It makes me laugh to think about but I do honestly wonder why they do this.

I would just like to point out that if you really want to get a true bra fitting, please go to a reputable department store that has saleswomen that go to actual training classes to fit bras. Nordstrom and Dillard's are great examples. If you are lucky enough to have a independent lingerie shop in your town, that would be a good choice too. Stores like Victoria's Secret just want to sell bras. I know their bras are cute and cheap, but they are cheaply made and I can confirm this because I worked for them a few years ago. But I am also learning to sew lingerie and there are a lot of cheaply made bras out there. I also wear a size 32G in bras and when I went there for a fitting (before I started working there), the sales girl who claimed to be a bra fitting expert convinced me should could find a bra that would fit. She measured me as 36DD a tried to sell me an ill-fitting bra. Bras are a very expensive investment and if you are going to spend money on a bra that you want to last and will make you look great, then a proper fitting is worth it.

Do you wear slips with sweater dresses too? (If you don’t wear sweater dresses would you recommend someone who does wear a slip?) They are usually thicker than most dresses so I was wondering if it’s necessary.

It seems that her bra strap is showing on her left shoulder. I have a top where they made a thin strip of material to hold the bra straps in place, it snapped/unsnapped to go around the bra straps. That would be great for a dress like hers. If only someone would come up with a way to quickly add one to a top or dress where it would benefit.

You know the other vlog you spoke about what if any of us had that we just didn't feel comfortable talking about? You said applying your makeup was that "thing" you just didn't want to share. This is one of my biggest taboo subjects I am just too embarrassed to speak aloud about. I could not watch past the 2 min. mark. I am not ashamed but I don't want to talk about under things.
