I've been watching a lot of the challenges you guys do and I've had an idea for a while I'd be interested to see what people think. The basic idea is a bidding war over starters. So you set up 12 randomized sets of starters and each person gets an amount of starting cash (for this example I'm going to use 100k just to be able to kind of put numbers to thing). You only get to see one set of starters at a time and you take turns bidding back and forth until one player decides to drop out. The winner of the bid would get to pick their choice from that set of starters and then you move to the next set. At the end of the bidding you battle but any extra cash could be used to give yourself bonuses in the fight (just per example for 5k you could give any one of your pokemon any ability or for 10k you could give one any move you want). So basically a huge part of the challenge is how much do you save for the later rounds in case there is a monster there, how much is it worth to be able to give any ability/move, etc. I'm sure the numbers would need to be tweaked but idk I've seen other formats mildly similar to this use this idea and I think it would be interesting to see

For anyone wondering why Metagross was flying, when you switch out from a pokemon which is flying by default (Staraptor) if the switched in pokemon has a model which is flying/levitating it will use it rather than the one on the floor

bellossom is actually pretty good, its base 490 with 95 def, 100 spdef, and 75 hp. and a pretty respectable 90 spatk. for below 500 bst thats not bad

Honestly I feel like these videos are better with a 2/3 format. Gives more opportunity to see the pokemon we don't normally get to see and can see a change in strategy as well.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Eject Button interferes with the way certain switching moves work (kind of like the Red Card). If the user of U-turn, Flip Turn, or Volt Switch hits something holding an Eject Pack, their opponent switches and the move's user stays put.

Venomoth needs to go into the ShadyPenguinn hall of fame at this point. It literally never disappoints.

Hey Shady! I'd love to see you build a team however you'd like (pick your own, randomized, one of your challenges etc.) But then in the fight each turn you would roll a d10, a 1-4 and you use that corresponding move slot, ie a 1 you'd use the first move, 5-9 you switch to the corresponding team slot, ie 5 and you'd go to the second pokemon on your team, and a 10 you get to choose. There'd be so many bad plays it'd be hilarious 😂
