Choosing Keeping watercolours ART HAUL & review

In this video, I visit the gorgeous stationery store, Choosing Keeping here in London. I try and review their Retro 1980s Japanese Gansai watercolours set and drool over the rest of their sets. Have some good old swatching sessions and test my new Gansai paints out with some pattern painting. And finally, I share my thoughts about them and compare these watercolours to gouache.

Those paints look lovely. I agree, the orange is beautiful. Thanks for sorting how opaque it is. I'll definitely be checking that shop out next time I'm in London

Yes they are soo fun to use them. Very much a hybrid between gouache and watercolours. ☺️👍🏽🎨

@@parularora I’ve got the kuretake set which is a good runner up and I’ve loved using them. Love the Japanese products on so many levels

I have that as well but these are a bit more like gouache. More opaque.

☺️ thank you! They are my absolute favourite pair of shoes that I’ve ever owned! If I could go back in the future I’d buy several pairs to last me a lifetime! 😂

Omg I've been eyeing Choosing Keeping for so long. Unfortunately I'm from a different country so it'll be hard to get there ASAP but their notebook collection looks so dreamy, the watercolor sets too and the fountain pens 😍 *swooning*

Ahhh no worries at all. I live in London and only just visited them. It’s sooo hard to go in there and not buy the whole store! 😜😀🖍️🌈

Your videos are always such a treat! Thank you for showcasing that lovely palette, it does really suit you well. Have you tried mixing greens with that vibrant blue? I can imagine they would turn out quite stunning. And finally: also thank you for giving us a brief tour of the London shop. Seeing these lovely items in that cozy environment instead of just some online pictures makes them even more appealing. 😍

Ahh thanks a lot. I love that store and it’s so hard to go in there without buying something. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I think generally Japanese gansai paints aren’t made for a lot of mixing. I think they are supposed to be used as is.
