It was interesting seeing a young Tim there.

The most gifted instructor is able to take a lesson, engage as many of the senses as possible and make the topic both interesting and fun. We all have that one special teacher from school who we can still recall decades later. That’s what the Bible Project is for me: One of the most important, interesting and fascinating instructors I’ve ever had the privilege of learning from. This is from a man who has five degrees and considering a sixth. We are all truly blessed to have you in our lives. Amen 🙏🏽.

I love your mission to know and better understand what the Bible says in every book in it. It really helps me and gives encouragement to understand more what God is trying to communicate to us.

I'm a reborn Christian, 66 years old, and besides that, a physical and theoretical chemist also familiar with particle physics, cosmology, and relativity and last but not least: psychoanalysis. When there is one thing I really want to avoid then it's coming off as arrogant. I had to go all these different ways. The Lord knows why. I love the Bible Project and have already put it to a test: Genesis, the Book of Job, Noah, and the book of revelation: In these books, the believer is challenged to choose his own way of reading: literal, allegorical or a more cultural centered one (cultural rivers..). I am very fond of the way Tim handles these challenging and subtle issues. Only one thing may be missing. The real authentic examination of the findings that the hardcore natural sciences raise: (Your science & faith contribution from 2017 is for me a bit underwhelming) Creationism, ID-movement, Biologos... to name a few important ones. In my opinion, this only works if the team around Tim integrates a believing natural scientist, preferably a physicist or quantum chemist...hi..into their own ranks. I could recommend, for example, the German paleontologist and physicist Günther Bechly. Google him or Darwin's doubt. In: "Discontinuities in the Fossil Record" by Dr. Günter Bechly (May 29, 2019, Waidhofen/Thaya) Günter convincingly demonstrates how paleontological findings can be more than "not in contradiction" with our faith. We can even catch our LORD in the act of creation in the sense of divine intervention. Hugh Ross from Reasons to Believe is of course also a good address, certainly well-known to you. Important note: I know many believers that do not care about sciences. Yet I value them more than myself as a follower of Christ. Good so. Greetings from Germany!

I’m an undergraduate student majoring in Biology-a biologist, per se, in the making. And this channel has been inspiring me to also pursue a degree on Biblical studies. My interests are somewhat conflicting; such that l, as a Biology student, study and “trying to prove” evolution but I, as a Christian, also believe in the story of Creation. Despite these conflicting ideologies, I am still thankful to the Lord that I’m not lost. Instead, my faith and my belief to YHWH and the Bible has been strengthened through watching the videos of this channel. So, thank you, The Bible Project!

Yes! The patterns are all of life! God is all math, light, music which all has patterns and covers all we love... One time i watched a fellow, a Christian physicist, who had an awesome talk about God and Light that blew me away . I think about 1999...you might enjoy it if you can find it. I sure wish i could see it again.

Jon brings out the best in Tim and vice versa. What an amazing pairing. Go Bible Project! The podcasts wouldn't be as rich if we didn't have Jon constantly asking Tim to clarify or delve deeper into certain questions and topics.

I love spending the day, starting in a particular reference I'm interested in. The places it takes me proves to me the Bible is inspired. No one person could connect all those dots with so many answers, as well as enough questions to desire another drink. I'm overwhelmed and safe knowing God is it's author. The real mind blower is he uses His human creation women and men to get the word out there.

I love connecting the word to our lives

I’ve had a lot of trouble reading the Bible, as someone with OCD and a lot of experiences in churches that...did not help with overcoming my fears. A few years ago I prayed “I wish I could love the Bible as much as I love animation” (I LOVE animation and stories and story structure) and then, a few years later, I stumble upon this channel. Started listening to the podcasts about the storytelling methods of the Bible, and how the Bible is one big story structure and literary piece of mastery. It all speaks my language and feels free from the judgement and cookie cutter explanations. It really helped me understand the Bible better and to see it for it’s beauty. I have less trouble reading it now. Then I remembered my prayer and I understood that God, in His mercy and timing brilliance, is connecting the Bible to things I understand and love. Like: you want animation? I have animation. On a more random note: 2:43 is still one of my favourite shots in the Bible Project. When I first saw it I’d have spit out my drink if I had any. The creature looks so dignified and magnicifcent, and then so happy as the other heads slide into the shot, like “Oh hai! Good to see you!” Perfect! XD

This channel is a godsend

The bible was written and compiled by human hands-- I would love a video on how the process of selecting which books to include, and in which order, and how the holy spirit was involved in making these choices.

I was supposed to get work done but someone sent me to your website and I have been lost in your videos for hours. What an incredible answer to prayer you have been! As a content / storyteller myself I can appreciate how much goes into the sheer beauty of all you have produced from research to post production. Simply amazing. You have my subscription. I would love to see the BTS making of the videos from a story board to artist creation and edit side of your vids. Thank you for being such a blessing. I really like the way you teach by theme, because patterns and connections is also how I think, more than discrete stories and characters. Growing up I was taught "bibile stories" named after their main character, and I felt confused and frustrated because I kept getting them mixed up. Now I understand that they're similar on purpose! Thank you for teaching me in a way that lets me appreciate what the stories are communicating through their patterns and similarities. It feels so much better to learn in a way that works with my brain (and the structure of the text) rather than against it.

Thanks Tim and Jon from us in Canada. We and our grandchildren watch your videos and they are great teaching tools for us. Wanted to encourage your team to look at the topic of how the Bible tells/shows/instructs Christians how to live. Especially during these times of the gentiles. With yourselves being in Portland where the city is experiencing lawlessness, violence, looting and wrestling with the spiritual dimensions, I'm sure there are many besides us that are asking God how then should we live in these latter days? Should we 'walk toward the fire" with our feet shod with the gospel of peace? Should we be meek and inherit the earth? Generally speaking, the church has been silent on this topic and I would welcome your perspective on it! Keep up the good work!

I've never been interested in a project like this before !!! Never !!! And trust me,I'm kind of drawn into every interested thing I do ( like the other 7 billion of us ) But seriously,BibleProject have something that's special !!! You all do amazing work producing phenomenal videos that are both informative and entertaining/artistic! I always love watching your videos and see the light you bring to world! Would consider doing a series the the biblical holidays feasts and festivals and how they connect to the Gospel? Not just for myself because I'd love to see how you outline and animate it but for everyone else following your series I know it would be a blessing to them! Things like how the passover is connected to the crucifixion, and shevuot to pentecost, I know there are many Messianic Jewish Rabbis that would love to share what they know with your team if you are in need of biblical scholars to work with!
