Our month-long stay in Vietnam wraps up with this memorable Ha Long Bay Luxury Cruise.
Halong Bay is Vietnam's otherworldly heavenly paradise. Limestone islands and islets rise from the emerald, blue water to create a picturesque scene of unspoiled beauty. The precipitous nature of the islands makes them largely uninhabitable for humans so the best way to tour the islands is on a cruise.
But there are too many ships to choose from! With all the different amenities, different activities, and different prices, it can get really overwhelming!
And to make things worse, you would think that there would be a website or a vlog to help us narrow down the cruise choices but there's not.
Now to give you an idea, we're looking for a cruise that offers 5-star luxury with amazing family suites, wonderful dining experiences, and fantastic family fun. And we think we found it. Find out if we made the right choice.

Great video. You guys are so bubbly. I did Halong bay with my family in 2019 before the start of the pandemic, but only as a day excursion. After watching this, I plan on doing the cruise next time.

Haha!🤪We enjoy traveling SO MUCH and meeting new people 24/7. It’s literally our happy place☺️That’s great that you got a day excursion in before the pandemic. At least you got a taste of it. But yes, I highly recommend 3 or even 4 days. You really get to see Ha Long Bay up close and learn about the culture while having a blast! The staff on board makes sure you have the BEST time! Yeahhh Ở Việt Nam chúng tôi, ngoại trừ Phở và Bánh Mì, còn có rất nhiều món ăn ngon như là món Bún Bò Huế, Bánh Canh Cua, Súp Cua, Gỏi Cuốn, Cơm Tấm, Bánh Xèo, Bún Chả... HI I was wondering on your last day, around what time did you guys get back to the docking area. Their website says checkout around 9.30am, which is pretty early. Thank you

Yeah check out day is a pretty early morning. We did Tai Chi @ 5am/6am, then had breakfast by 6:30am ish, then did our last excursion to the caves by 8am that day. So we had to have everything packed the night before. I remember they took us back to the dock early around 9-9:30am. I believe our pickup was at 11am.

Yes it was! 3 days/2 nights. Food was delicious!👌Didn’t expect the quality to be great but we were pleasantly surprised. Plus it’s Vietnam, I mean we absolutely have enjoyed eating their food no matter the location.

Beautiful! It has a great view! If you go early no one is there. At night there is so much to do on the cruise, so the pool is pretty empty.

There is a speedboat available. Are you planning on going for 1 night? My husband gets terrible motion sickness. This is his first cruise that he hasn’t felt sick. It was like a miracle. The boat was so smooth in the bay.

How much was the total cost of the cruise?

Depends on how many people, which room and how many days. For the 3 days/2 nights - I believe for the Oasis Suite that fits 2 people is around $680 and for the Sky Suite that we had which fits 4 people, is approx. $1200. All board meals are included.

No. We couldn’t dock next to the island. Someone would have to crawl up the mountain. It was hard to pin point exact location too😩

I'm a veteran of a 3D/2N "cruise" (quotes intended as the boats are rarely underway) in November, 2022. I can help with the decision! Do a DAY CRUISE instead! The problem with Halong and Lan Ha Bays is evidenced by your video at 0.19. There are TOO many tour ships! Further, all of 'em follow each other around and do activities at the same time, so one is kayaking at the same time as 17 or 18 other boats, etc. It's a mess and while I DO believe everyone should see Halong/Lan Ha (you won't know the difference), it's far better as a day tour. (Not on your cruise, but my 3D/2N "cruise" was $590 for one person, $770 for two. Ridiculous.)

Thank you so much for sharing captain!🫡 I thought the same thing too. Especially after reading so many reviews about the ships and the activities all happening at the same time. But surprisingly, I found it was quite the opposite during our 3 days/2 nights cruise. Everyone is loading at the same time but once we went out to the bay we were all spread out. Hardly saw another cruise ship, maybe once. Ha Long Bay is HUGE and spread out. Our kayaks were onboard the ship, so we could go at 3pm every day wherever we were. No other kayaks around but ours. We did go see some caves, but we left our ship at 6am before all of the other cruise ships entered the caves at 8am or 9am….so didn’t have any issues there. We also went to a village and had lunch. We ran into a few other people. Not everyone onboard wants to do the activities. Many stay on the ship and relax. So we found ourselves pretty privately enjoying ourselves.

@@MomDuty I think the 3 day trips go further out into the bay or to more secluded areas vs the day trip or one day trip ones, which makes sense why you didn't have to deal with a bunch of people like others experienced.
