We race the Revo Porsche GT2 class . Only things we can do is wood guide . Optional to change the pinion and spur gear to plafit in the same ratio 12/33 ,change the tires to any Revo compound for the normal or wide wheels and glue and true the tires . Awsome running cars .

We have a HOST Race next weekend. We have 3 Classes each Race (monthly). We have limited pit space so we are asked to keep it reasonable. For Christine and I, I bring a min of 2 cars per race per person. So 12 cars are ready on raceway! And Chris and I like similar set-ups! I still tear my hair out. Group C is the worst@ I love those cars.....I have SO many choices.

My 1/32 analog club races Revos regularly, and hands down the preferred car is the Marcos. Ugly as it is, it's as low as a Thunderslot Can-Am with the shortest wheelbase of any Revo. The Marcos cars out-perform everything else.
@twolinesslotcars8 ай бұрын
Thanks Rex! It is interesting how tracks are different.. and how different cars like different layouts. The Repsol Marcos is a good looking car!

Marty: Caveat, I have never competitively raced any of my multiple Revoslots. Like you I just time trial them at home. I have found that spacers under axle holders lowering the car to 1 mm and some tire tweet oil treatment polishing and softening the rear have been my 2 significant valvations of note to offer you.

Thanks!!! I will give that a try on the 911!

Good morning Marty. In terms of the braids on your Porsche 911 a brass-brush is pretty usefull to comb the braids to clean them up. Pull the brush towards the rear. A drop of oil onto the braids would also help cleaning them from time to time. But just a small drop though. I use Ballistol for that. The oil will help cleaning the track-rails that way , as well. The 911 is pretty tail-happy im the curves, so maybe a little extra weight behind the rear-axxle could help in that case. Try it out. If not, improove your driving skills with it. Means slow down a bit with it inseide the curves. Also a different guide-keel could help. Frankenslot and Slotinvasion do have those as spare-parts. I prefer the Frankenslot guide-keels. They are good and i don`t have any experience with the Slotinvasion ones. It is a try out thing. Have a nice Saturday and a fine 1 Advent tomorrow. :-)

I need to pick up a small brass brush for that Bo! Yes, the 911 has always been a bit tail happy.. I have tried weight and it doesn’t like it.. just slows it down. But I won’t give up!! The car looks too good to not get the handling right! As always, thanks Bo!
@slotcardude688 ай бұрын
Take both of them with you, drive them both during warm up and decide at the track. Basically I would use the F333SP

G'day Marty this sounds crazy some cars handle tracks a bit different which is odd . My problem was I moved the weight ratio around the car handle great

Hi Marty, yes, I think deslotting settles it. The Ferrari is wider and has a lower centre of gravity than the Porsche. Maybe swap the motors out if the Porsche seems a bit quicker?
@twolinesslotcars8 ай бұрын
I might try that.. they are so close.. I have a few more things to try.. see if I can get the 911 where it needs to be
@MrDarrenp408 ай бұрын
@@twolinesslotcars - otherwise, it sounds to me like the new Revoslot Toyota GT1s are just itching for their own club class. They look fantastic and if everyone gets one then it will be a 'win' for your lovely local 'Cincyslots' and, most certainly, this goes more than 90% towards dialling 'car' out of finding who is the best driver. As the blacks and gulf blues will no doubt prove popular then mine would be the yellow one :)
@josephstanczak43408 ай бұрын
That close, I’d go for the one that stays in the slot. Can’t win if you ain’t runnin’! That Porsche sound super smooth though! Maybe adjust the controller a bit for the Porsche when you are on Bruce’s track. Never added weight to a Revoslot yet. Maybe bevel the tires on the 911 a bit?
@josephstanczak43408 ай бұрын
I’ll add that I have seen lowering the rear end a tad helps with grip. Add a piece of tape or thinnest spacers you have between the rear axle blocks and chassis. I also replace the guide with a SlotInvasion - not for depth, but the thickness settles the front nicely. Good luck at Cincy!

If the rules allow, can you change the pinion on the Ferrari up one tooth or the spur gear down two? Gain some top end speed
