Budget is not the concern here, Gaurav. It's the size and FE of the XUV 7oo petrol that keeps away most buyers.

The thing is: creta doesn't offer you safety, although it offers a ocean of features but no stability, so in my opinion If you don't wanna go for a big car like 700 then you can go for kushaq or taigun.

Got creta dct variant delivery yesterday only….too good to drive and rich experience…at dwarka express highway got 14 km/l average and in city 9-10( just drove 80km in total- so not conclude now). Full time kept adas feature open and its really working nice and you will get good feel when it helps you inbetween. Also 360 camera too good to have which is not there in ax5… literally now i dont need to look left right from my window in very tight situation outside and when you take back adas works for you to give you warning and break plus seat ventilation and seat electronic adjustable 8 ways is too good to have. You get thigh support in great way. No doubt even i was in double mind for ax5 but 5 things stopped me for the same- mileage for petrol, after sales service for mahindra, a bit disadvantage of bigger car when you drive local, basic feature missing like side mirror electric fold and 360 camera and 7 seats for ax5 petrol. No doubt if you need performance and slight better road presence you can go with ax5. But for decent family car and good on road presence and with almost all features creta should be good choice and lastly if you love dark black interior then go with seltos gt line or creta n line. Myself and my family dont like black interior so i went ahead with turbo variant with light premium interior.

Both are completely different car and different segment, if you want 700, go only for top model. Those who have driven bigger car would never settle for small cars.

If you really need 7 seat or extra boot space then XUV 700 otherwise creta. Because you will miss out on lots of features on MX(E). Also if you have mostly highway running then consider xuv 700. Creta 1.5 NA does feel a little slow on highways.

U r correct that instead of going creta and seltos 3 star car better to choose xuv 700 but harrier also there u muat be forgot to mention, in xuv 700 few drawbacks r there in Ax5 like No auto ORVM, no stop and start key, no TPMS, this all basic things which are must needed, instead of sunroof..!!!

I do follow Gaadiwaadi a lot but I don’t felt this comparison valid because if you are comparing 3rd base variant AX5 of XUV700 then compare it with the third base variant of Creta i.e. S. And most importantly the prices are far different, Creta S Petrol Manual model comes at 13.4 Lacs and XUV 700 Petrol Manual with ESP comes at 18.2 lacs.. so in the worlds the price difference is 5 lacs plus which is not same according to me for any buyer. Moreover as a car enthusiast I know whoever goes for petrol manual in XUV will be getting not more than 8-12 KMPL mileage and Creta Petrol Manual will return around 12-16 KMPL so that is also a buying decision people will make. And XUV 700 is only well suited with diesel that itself will make it go more costlier. I agree AX5 is a VFM variant of XUV700 but there is no comparison of these two cars if you say they are same price and it’s more sort of promotion of XUV 700. If you need to compare and confuse customer then compare AX7 L with top model of creta and then say the price is same which everyone know it’s not.

Hi, Creta Turbo is available only in top variant in Automatic while XUV700 Comes in both MT & AT The prices are as follows: XUV700 AX5 Petrol AT 5-Str (Rs. 19.49 Lakh) 200 PS vs Creta Turbo Petrol AT 160 PS (20 Lakh) as XUV700 belongs to above segment, this car an be bought at mid-size SUV prices but with less features however it still offers a big car feel, better suspension & ride quality, bigger boot space, spacious cabin, powerful engine over any other mid-size SUV.

@@GaadiWaadiDotCom Thanks for the response but Creta Turbo is also available in MT & AT as well. We need to pick Creta N Line N8 MT which is priced at 16.82 lacs and Creta N8 DCT at 18.32 lacs. And yes I agree XUV 700 AX5 may give some extra room and big car feel but it will be still only 5 seater and I really can’t recommend for XUV 700 Petrol AT for anyone who’s running is >1000 a month because of its dwelling fuel efficiency which will leave the user high & dry. It’s better to go for Diesel AT if you want XUV 700. On the other hand for petrol lovers in Creta N8 DCT at 18.3 lacs in Creta (1.5 lacs less than AX5) we will be getting DCT transmission, 18” Alloys, leather seats and totally bug free electronics with 18” alloy wheels. (Except 5 stars rating) and yes easy after sales service of Hyundai.. and if you go in N10 you will be also getting ADAS Level2, Ventilated Seats, 360 camera as well in 19.34 lacs. So it really depends what the user is upto but definitely the price segment as per features offered will still not match.

Interiors are too dated in XUV 700. AX5 variant costs 26L on road. No Auto AC, no sun blinds, cheap plastics all around, no sliding 2nd row seats, no power seats and more.

Considering safety, looks Creta no match to XUV. But the amount of features we get in Creta for same amount is noticeable if some one only looking for features Creta is the choice. At the end both are VFM products.

Creta toh bahut jyada over pricey hai. Aur size mai bhi XUV700 se bahut chotta hai. Agar 20-23 lakhs ka SUV lena hai toh Scorpio-N, XUV700, TATA Harrier aur TATA Safari inh charo mai se ek lelo yehi best hai. Creta main itna jyada features hone ka kiya fyada hai jobh ki safety rating mai bhi sirf 3 star rating milla hua hai..
