I’ve never watched One Piece and I’m not generally interested in pirate’s but this show got me invested and was such a fun time. They succeeded in getting people to want to watch the anime with this live action.

As someone who knew nothing about one piece before watching the live action, the gold roger opening scene actually got me SUPER hooked immediately! it helped that I had no preconceived notions about how the characters should be. The show left me wanting more so like many others I’ve started watching the anime in the meantime lol! It’s interesting to see what fans of one piece think about the live action

I heard about One Piece, when I was a lot younger. Never read the manga, never watched the anime either. But I know some of the main characters since they were (and are..) so famous. And now decades later, as a 42 year old woman, I decided to watch the series. And I am hooked. Binged all the episodes in one night, and started to go down the rabbit hole of One Piece. I also watched some of the reactors reacting to the live action series for some references, and so far you guys are the best. Well, I have followed you way before this series tho. Keep reacting on the series, boys! And thank you!!

It's amazing to see fans of the anime and manga enjoy the live action. I loved your reactions, guys. It gives us, the new fans, a perspective from the people who have carried a great love for this story for years now. I was so curious about this live action that I started watching the anime. After 54 episodes, I started watching the live action. Now I'm in love with it, and I know I got a lot to watch still 😂 but it's really exciting ❤

This whole pirate and action concept is not really my cup of tea, but the hype got me curious and started watching it..It's Zoro which made me stay and watch til the end. Haha.

I agree even I who is not all too familiar with the source material was amazed how great they did with the CGI and production quality in general. This show is really the best Netflix show of all time imo

yay more reactions! I told Hunter in private but I like how well they intergrate the flashbacks to help flesh out the story faster. All in all they making this very digestable for anyone! and as Anthony said they really made Buggy more menacing from the get go, which i like since i feel you understand that he's actually someone to be taken seriously much sooner. Now given it's been... "a while"... since i first saw/read the first Buggy arc, but my memory of it and him as a character was a lot more "comedic relief" and not really a serious threat. so it took me too long and way later into the story to feel like Buggy is actually a quite capable pirate and devil fruit user.

Nope, i dropped the manga before i dropped the anime since i was reading/buying a swedish translation and just never picked up an alternative when that wasn't an option anymore. and i'm behind on the anime, think i'm somewhere early ep 800-ish (First Big Mom/Cake island thing). but they've shown plenty more Buggy in that time to allow us to figure out his capability, but looking forward to whatever you're refering too then for sure ^^@@brosnshows

Late to the party, but I gotta say that I love your reactions to this. Saw other reaction videos but your series is my favorite so far. I like how they put flashbacks in between various parts of the episode rather than doing a whole episode that gives us a massive lore dump on us. I also like how they made Buggy more menacing at the start (with some comedic material here and there) rather than just waiting until much later in the manga.

The one thing that I love of One Piece is that you can see a certain scene time and time again and even be spoiled of a certain scene and can still stir an emotion and I totally love the live adaptation!

Yknow I wouldn't mind some original Koby content next season. Or maybe transplant some side stories to include Koby and Helmeppo involved, so we can see Koby grow into a Marine as we see Luffy grow as a pirate.

I'm not a fan of the anime or manga, not proud but that's what it is, and still I found fascinatING we both cried in almost the same parts, I think Oda just reached his goal. I'm meditating on watching or reading the 23 years previous material but i'm still working on that lol - I felt in love with the Live Action, and it's just OUTSTANDING!

I have never watched or read One Piece and I had low expectations before watching this series cuz every live-action anime adaptations that got made was trash, but omg they did a really good job with this one!! Cuz they got me hooked!! I wanna read and watch One Piece now but thinking about the length overwhelms me 😭

42:01 I dunno. Not sure if you’ve heard about this, but months after you posted this video, a One Piece reboot anime was announced, titled “The One Piece”. It’ll probably have a *lot* less filler scenes, and will be more faithful to the manga. It think it’ll be like experiencing One Piece for the first time all over again with that anime too.
