This is Jackie's last recording with her husband. Absolutely stunning.

I didn’t know that Chopin wrote a Cello Sonata. It’s so sad that this was her last recording with her husband before her MS symptoms left her unable to play the cello. Barenboim is an incredible pianist (his recordings of the Beethoven Sonatas are the gold standard in my opinion) and I’m so glad that for the last over 35 years, he has carried on his late wife’s legacy.

@borisoff22 The cello part from, say, 0:58 to 1:40 would sound rather unusual on the piano, to say the least.

Lol, Adam Hurst is nothing but a childish amateur in front of du Pré... I like him, but that comment is foolish. Du Pré is considered as one of the greatest to have ever lived... Rostropovich considered her as the only that could've possibly go beyond what he did... Please don't compare Du Pré to Adam Hurst..
