Mr Manga- okay, his point was that everybody only knows these songs from the anime and aren’t really appreciating the king who actually played it. I know you see this comment section filled with your lie in April references so it’s like the creators are the only ones taking credit for this masterpiece
@cappachino2.082
@cappachino2.082 4 жыл бұрын
Mr Manga obviously they didn’t just “take” them, they’re in the public domain and can be used by whomever. This was just me putting together an imageless meme template in about 5 seconds based upon the fact that so many of Chopin’s pieces are featured throughout Your Lie in April. The comment was in no way an attack on the anime, only a humorous take on the fact that the comments referencing it are so abundant across KZfaq. Lastly, I would like to add that I personally loved Your Lie in April and it’s imprint on the spread of classical music on a larger, younger, audience. Also, I just spent 10 minutes writing this so thank you for your time.

@@lavendelblue4368 it surely is an impressive and virtuosic piece but from a compositional stand point I don't think it compares to the pieces I would call Masterpieces, e.g. Bachs fugues or Beethovens Appassionata. The musical ideas here are quite limited. The motive in the left hand is very simple and the accompaniment figure in the right, though hard to play, is not too complicated either. The harmonic progression is also quite ordinary.

There are many different levels of difficulty with Chopin pieces, and I'm positive someone with beginner to intermediate experience in piano can play them. Look at his Nocturne Op. 72, No. 1 in E minor and his Prelude Op. 28 No. 4 in E minor. For intermediate I'd recommend his Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 in E flat Major and his Nocturne in C# minor posthumous. Happy playing!

No talent does this to anyone. This is excruciating hard work since an extremely young age. People sometimes don't know what fighting for something means and excuse themselves with "ah, others have talent!" and that's just plain sad. This kid might have been born to this, but he worked his ass off to get here you can be sure! And anyone who'd do the same would achieve more or less equivalent results. It's not about the ability do to it, it's about your ability to fight!
@michaelh4273
@michaelh4273 9 жыл бұрын
***** I agree with you up to the part where you say "anyone who'd do the same would achieve more or less equivalent results." No, just NO. Accept that people are born differently in this world. If I work my ass off as hard as Cristiano Ronaldo I will never be the same footballer as he is. If I work my ass of since I was born like Lebron James I wont ever win as many MVP as he does. If I work my ass off as hard as Einsten I will never discover Relativity Theory. That's truth. If I work my ass off as hard as this kid, yes I will be able to play this piece, but I wont ever achieve more or less equivalent results like you said. The tempo and dynamic gradations are very well phased, he is literally a human metronome and slave to the score. Listen to other adults playing this piece they don't even sound close to the kid. The truth is some people are born as prodigies. If we want to beat them we have to work our ass off harder than them, twice, three times even four times. Anyone who do the same wont achieve the same results.

Michael H That's comparing two completely different things. Football or soccer or tennis are all physical sports that require skill and physical prowess. Though the piano is rather tasking and does require a good amount of physical and mental endurance, it is not something dependent on your body type. Anyone can stand at the top of the music world if they work excruciatingly hard. By that I mean literally giving all of yourself to music. However, not the same could be said about a sport as genes also play a part in how far you can advance.

some tips for people learning this... #1: listen to it a *lot* ! this helps with your by ear memory and will aid you in deciphering it. it also helps to try and follow along in the music. #2: map out your practice! set *OBTAINABLE* goals and make a practice schedule- it will help you keep track of your progress and make you stay organized as well. #3: find the hardest and easiest parts. circle them, highlight them, put neon green tape over them and start by learning them, not at the beginning. doing this will decrease your chances of messing them up by ALOT and will give you a little satisfaction. #4: GO SLOW! You're not Lang Lang! chill and slow down, you'll make less wrong notes and bad habits. #5: regularly go over and look for wrong notes. trust me. the last thing you want are wrong notes. #6: OK, so youre able to play through it *somewhat perfectly* to the end, and now it's time to speed it up. start with a comfortable tempo with the metronome and do it 5×. now, speed the metronome up by a couple notches and do it 5×. keep doing this until you are at your desired tempo. !WARNING! THIS MIGHT RESULT IN CARELESS PLAYING, IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOURE JUST FUMBLING THROUGH THE PIECE, STOP AND COME BACK TOMORROW. #7: last but not least, do that scale at the end a thousand times! it would suck if you preform it perfectly and mess up the scale, so don't take any mutherfudgin chances yo!

It would be impressive if a 12-year old could play this piece (or any Chopin etude) at all, but he played it with incredible control and musicianship. "impressive for a kid" is an insult to a performance this good - it's amazing on its own merits.

that's not just talent, not just hardwork. I can see this guy "feeling" the author while playing, like those notes are what allows him to feel what chopin was feeling while composing this. This guy is not just a machine who plays perfectly, but a mere human with a huge sensibility, and that's why this is the best intepretation of this piece i've ever heard. Because there is feeling more than just playing.

Im a PIANIST from 🇵🇭 Philippines 🇵🇭 and heres my story. When i graduated elementary (grade 6/ 12 years old) my mom told me to study of playing piano, so she enrolled me in a piano class then i just how to read notes and nothing. Then i just got in the grade 7 (13 years old) . 1st quarter of my school (my alma mater), it was like nothing because i don't love piano that time. then when 2nd Quarter comes, my teacher told me to play at the recital with a solo piece. Then after the recital, i was really amazed (so i was able to love piano) , so i improved myself. My grade 8 (14 years old) time i composed 2 piano musical pieces. Then my classmates told me that I'm the best in piano (because I composed 2 piano musical piece and creating my own version of other musical piece. Then i just realized. He is not a human metronome, and he is not a slave to the score! I mean that in a good way. I think he plays this almost perfectly (except for a couple wrong notes towards the end [ 2:11 - 2:17] that you wouldn't really notice unless you also play the piece or are looking at the score [and even then it's understandable as that particular right-hand pattern is very similar to one that appears earlier in the piece, only with one note changed in the chord on the way coming down]), and certainly better than most adults! When I was 12 years old I played Chopin's Opus 10 no 12, and it was a train wreck. I played so many wrong notes, and used way too much pedal. This performance is really amazing. It's so amazing, it's almost good enough to go on a CD. I say he's not a human metronome or a slave to the score because he does play this piece with musical interpretation. Not only does he clearly emote (which doesn't itself mean much), but he also slows down very slightly at some points, which a computer playing a midi file would not do. Notably, he plays the section at 1:47 very tenderly, and just before he positions his right hand to play it, it looks like he's telling himself to be careful. Not that I purport to know what he's thinking, but I make the same wide-eyed expression when I get to a section that I don't want to mess up, especially when the stakes are high. So I assume, like smiles and frowns, the expression is universal, though I am more likely than not wrong. I understand that people are quoting an anime (which I have actually watched), but saying "he's a human metronome and a slave to the score" is a criticism, not a compliment, and one that he absolutely does not deserve.

On the contrary, he is fully attuned to the work and his body language, in my opinion, is adequate and not excessive. Logical that still does not apply complementary musical figures marked as "rubato" or "crescendos", but very little is missing to compare your performance (at least in this study 23), with other famous pianists (several of them overvalued) His technique is enviable for their early 12 years of age, it is what we envy both of them ... are just more persistent, disciplined and perhaps have more talent than us Westerners, we always believe that we are something like a race superior and entitled to disparage other ethnicities. My deepest congratulations Ryota Yamazaki !! ... if you keep that discipline, very soon you will be an outstanding pianist and finally, esteemed and respected.
