This is just salon music. It was meant to entertain. It is just that Chopin's creativity went above the salon. Now great audiences appreciate and praise his genius in modern times. He would be shocked. I am sure he loved the intimacy of the small audiences with his genteel and cultured "fans".

Chopin was probably one of the most played authors in his times at concerts. The op. 9 no. 2 and the op. 25 no. 12 were played so much at concerts etc.

Me lleva a otro mundo ,a los ensayos de las audiciones .Eran las las piesas de las audicioes ,este Improntu ,lo interprete a los 13 ,siempre salia bien (pero despertaba envidia ) perdi amigas (no me daba cuenta ,era muy niña para saberlo )

but at least Etude in E Major, Op. 10 No. 3 is here, Chopin said this is the most beautiful melody he wrote.

I think that the colon in title means that the music is by Chopin, and that the recording consists of the music preferred by consensus.
