You know, my father once told me on a hike, "A lot of people tend to focus on all the cruel and terrible things humanity has done, but we never really seem to talk about how we can do a great deal of many things and make something truly beautiful, and yet with our great intelligence and capabilities, we're the only ones stupid enough to doubt ourselves." This got me thinking. We are so limited by narrow minded thinking and self doubt. These feelings can be suffocating, and greatly impact our senses of self worth, believing we will only amount to nothing, that we're not special. But when I listen to this, I know thats not true. It doesn't mean we shouldn't acknowledge or address our weaknesses, sometimes self criticism is not only good, but necessary for our growth as a society. But instead criticizing ourselves to the point of defeat and exhaustion, we should learn and gain strength from where we once failed. Yes, humanity has its downfalls, but look at what we've created. How we see ourselves and the universe can affect how WE affect our surroundings. When Michealangelo painted the Sistine Chapel, When Beethoven played the ivory scales, and while he could not hear anything, he let his pure love for his craft and his music guide him to write some of the most beautiful and moving songs ever made. When Shakespeare wrote great plays and great tragedies. How his stories could make anyone swoon, feel joy, feel fear, and feel great sadness. He was a master with words, and used his great gift to build worlds the readers would find themselves entrapped in,, and in the words' true beauty,, there was tragedy. And in those times, while you felt morose, you could realize the beauty in his words,, no matter how heart wrenching they were to read. No matter how tragic, you still felt compelled to keep reading because it was still beautiful. So horrifically, yet incandescently, beautiful. He seemed to create worlds one minute and yet tear them down the next. Who knew the words we see on paper could speak such loud volumes while never even making a sound? To Arthur Ellis; the blind artist who "lost his sight, but not his vision." His wordly limits did not stop him to creating not what he saw with his eyes, but what he saw and felt in his soul. And while he never got to see his masterpieces, we got the great gift of seeing into a blind man's heart, and realized how capable he really was. To not be able to see and still create visions of true beauty. Because his soul was greater than his earthly vessel, and the difference between the average person and greats like him was that how wasn't afraid to let his soul shine through. But maybe there isn't such a thing as an average person, yet merely people with underlying potential who doubt themselves, and the only one stopping them from becoming great is them. To building cathedrals and various wonders of architecture all around the world, the Colliseum, mosques, temples, the Eiffel Tower, the Great pyramids of Giza, the lighthouse of Alexandria, the Great Wall of China, and to think of all the scientific revolutions we've made, to buildings rockets and flying a man to the moon, to taking picture of a black hole for the first time in history. Despite all of our great efforts and achievements in scientific knowledge and discovery, there is still so much to discover, so much left unexplored. How can we know so much, and yet, so little at the same time? All of these things we've achieved, all of these examples of greatness, many of them were achieved by people doubted themselves at first, but what made them set apart from the rest was the pure passion they had in their hearts for what they did, no matter what it was. So when I look at these stars, those flaming, floating balls of pure heat and life, I feel as if I'm looking at a soul of someone great. That maybe, those stars are what their souls were on the inside, and how beautiful and truly magnificent they were and still are to this day. And this music to accompany it, maybe this is what heaven plays for us when we realize our true potential? That in the far, distant future, only in death, we finally understand what it truly means to be alive? Seeing as there are an infinite amount of stars and the Universe grows greater and greater each and every passing day, maybe you'd like to add to God's infinite collection of stars one day ;) Edit: oh my goodness I came back to this after a while and saw all the likes and replies. Thank you, beautiful people for your kind words,, seriously, you have no idea what it means to me. As an aspiring author, all your kind words really touched me, so thank you and I'm glad I was able to affect you in such a way 😊 Wish me luck!

You are falling. The shattered glass of the window you went through falling with you, the world seemingly in slow motion. Your clothes ruffle and float and you tumble through the air. Death was getting closer by the second. You wonder how it came to this. It felt like just a minute ago you were dancing at the ball, gracefully turning from one partner to the next in a quick waltz. It had gotten too hot in the crowd, so you stepped to the side for a bit. The wind rustles through your hair as you continue to fall. It was then you realised that the beautiful stained-glass window you had been looking out of was the source of your demise. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. It was too soon, over too quickly. You had barely begun life... Death was close now, you could feel it. But instead of feeling scared, you felt at peace. The muted sounds of the final piece of the night serenade you on your way down, the music sad and soft. As if it was telling you farewell. The light refracted through the glass around you, creating a deadly cocoon. Strangely, it was rather beautiful, falling. It’s just a shame that the window had to break, it was so lovely. As you close your eyes, your last thoughts drift from your head, replaced by nothing. You hear a thud. Nothing is nice.

This thing just punched me so hard in the gut with nostalgia. I took ballet for about 8 years, with 6 of those spent at a small but wonderful studio with one teacher running it all and classes being big when 10 dancers showed up. Sadly, I was forced to quit this summer because of scheduling conflicts - all of the classes for my level were at the same time as my physics lectures. Once summer was over, I could've started ballet back up, but ultimately, I was forced to make the decision that I wouldn't be going back, since that'd take away hours of time I need to study and do homework. I both am happy with and regret my decision, as things are. But this piece took me back to when I still took those ballet classes - at the end of the class, we'd do our reverence, which is basically a bow to finish off the class, and oftentimes we'd do it to part of this piece. I never knew what it was until now, and I don't think I'll ever forget it, no matter how old I get.

First you we're camping You got bored You went outside exactly midnight You layed down at the grass. You looked at the sky But it's all pitched black So you decided to listen to this And all of the sudden all stars are begging to show like it was forming a dome on you And you can see the milky way And you fell asleep on the cold grass And you woke up in the morning with your friends gathered around you and telling you that you're about to go home And turns out all of that was a dream. And you woke up in the place in the picture while this song is playing. Gold shines everywhere! You started to believe that any song can be powerful. You teared up and your tear just floated since there's no gravity and your tear lanted on a gold structure And it evaporated and it shines like any other Gold. And you finnaly woke up again. But instead you wake up in your room with birds chirping and it's a Saturday morning and you know that's it's gonna be a good day. You hear your mom saying "Wake up breakfast is ready" and you go to your kitchen and your favourite food is on the shining gold table you have. With the golden and quartz plate. Luxury and Golden life while it's raining.

Your vision started to blur. You close your eyes slowly, and open them to find that you were in a field of blue flowers, glowing against the night sky. You stood up, feeling a slight breeze in your hair. You smiled slightly and walked forward. You didn’t know or care where you were going, but you knew that nothing could ever do you harm or cause you pain ever again, and knowing that, you were content.

The little prince was on Top of The World, but he had lost everything. Each night, he'd dance with a shining star. One of great value and a pretty face, who would make him swoon and feel as if he'd died over again and gone straight to heaven to be greeted by the most glorious angel from the celestial's heart. When the moon turned over, he'd forget about them. When the stars turned around and changed positions in time with the ballroom music, that's when he'd pity himself and his own fate. When the sun crossed paths with the moon and cast shadows below on his own, that's when the little prince would curse himself for even daring to think he would achieve Heaven. He'd wished for something to make him greater than his own, wished for something unattainable. Now he was here, forever alone and trapped. The people, all the people. They would last for only a night and then he'd be unable to ever see them again, charming as they might be. Until he met someone of his own fate, cursed by the great above for attempting to achieve a great hell on earth. The Prince turned his head, a rising blush on his face as he thought he might have just fallen for Heaven's greatest offender.

when i was young, my family and i lived in ireland. my dad was there for work purposes and my mom had family there, so it was only logical that we lived there. i remember i would go over to my granny’s house and my brother and i would take turns hitting random keys to see if we could produce something that sounded decent. my granny always wanted me to learn the piano because she thought i’d have a great ear for music. one day, we moved back to the united states where we have lived ever since. i got a keyboard for christmas one year and started taking piano lessons. we went back to ireland to see my mom’s side of the family. i played this piece for my granny and saw her tearing up. it was a beautiful moment. she is an amazing woman.

Just as your eyes begin to slowly close shut, you see something. In the midst of the pain and anguish, you see somebody. A man. A young man. Handsome, charming, and happy. Your eyes widen in surprise as he calls out for you. He seems so far away, yet so near. He holds out his hand for you to take, yet you cannot reach. Your eyes swell with tears as you simply stare at him. Suddenly, you freeze in surprise. A wave of calming relief washes over your senses, as every bit of pain slowly drifts away from your body. You feel yourself rise, although you aren't moving. With your arm still held out, you slowly float towards the man and take his hand in yours. Finally, you smile, realizing who the man was. He smiles back, his eyes softly twinkling as he gently squeezes your hand, even though you cannot feel it. *"Let's go home, my love..."* he simply says.

This is my first time writing something like this, so I apologize if it's bad. You didn’t like it. The idea of moving out. The idea of leaving all the memories created with your husband in this house. It wasn’t big, nor expensive. But a small wooden cottage, in a secluded place up in the mountains. High trees towered over it, pitch dark was all you could see in your surroundings. Standing on the path that led down to a village, and further into a city, you felt tears forming in the corners of your eyes. You held the handle of your small suitcase tighter. Why were you crying over such a hogwash situation? Your reasons for dispatching your husband and child were fair. You had all the rights to kill them. There was no other way of getting rid of the constant whispers and images flashing throughout your head. You’d have gone insane. The man you fell in love with and had a baby with was no longer who he used to be. His once ocean-strong blue eyes were now black and dull. His personality went from joyful to dreadful. The man that once gently caressed your face with his soft, long fingers, had turned to harshly slap you across your cheeks. But it wasn’t him at fault for that behavior. It was the child. A petite, 3 months old, little girl whom you would have given your life for. She had your strawberry blonde hair and her father’s deep blue eyes. She was the apple of your eyes. The person you loved most. Although, something was wrong. Whenever the child laughed, your husband would get aggressive and start charging at you while vintage pictures of the same faceless girl wearing a puffed dress with flower designs all over it, flashed throughout your mind. You would also hear whispers telling you that you should have saved her, but who was there to save? It was killing you. Knowing your child’s happiness caused you nothing but hurt. Soon, your husband had turned into a different person. His eyes were no longer blue, but a lifeless black. He’d stopped talking, and all he ever did was to bring the child leaves from outside your house. The child’s laughter no longer triggered anything, but that was because the pictures and whispers were now constantly in your mind. There was nothing you could do about it. You tried everything. Singing lullabies, food poisoning, suffocating. None of them worked. That child was not yours anymore. Leaving your only choice to eradicate both her and your husband. So you did. At late night you chopped their bodies with an ax merciless. You didn’t care anymore. Well, you also had forgotten how to. You wiped your larmoyant eyes and proceeded to head down the path. With no idea where you’d be going, you just wished to get away from the house, now covered in puddles of blood all over its floors and walls. You were going to start a new life, forget your turbulent history and start a new life somewhere in the city, where you prayed not to experience something similar again.

Feels like someone falling into quiet Unimaginable numbness. It's something they don't feel hurt by but something they feel freed by. To let go of fear. To let go of worry. To let go. Their heart becomes heavy weighing in their chest and yet is paid no mind by them. It's no longer there. Their mind once racing is still and silent. It echos within as this music plays. It pains them no more. It's no longer there. Eyes sit calm. Dry. Dull. Without care. The window is gone, shades drawn. It's no longer there.

I'm just imagining a mermaid swirling around this structure in the image (which is floating away from where her sight is) in anxiety, deep in the ocean watching her other people getting tortured and begging humans in marine suit and the mermaid is unaware of what is happening.

Humanity Good Ending: With natural individual rights finally recognized and understood by several people, rejection of political means to solve problems, less crimes rates and an improvement of free market starts, putting humans into a fast technologic development, bringing more education and knowledge in philosophy, almost 99% of population knowing Aristotle, Kant and Hoppe's works, a high building was built to merely symbolize this great achieve, the building in the video, marrying what is Beauty, and Knowledge for a rational specie, to contemplate it's mind capacity.

The church is that of San Agustín, from a town called Belchite, (a town devastated by the Spanish civil war), in reflection it is incredible as a place that has gone through as much as it has happened, with so much noise and horrors I could remain such a peaceful and incredibly quiet place with this nocturne
