Starting your way up on this map is not the best move, the fields are way too big and there's a lot of equipment required, just started on farm manager and took out loans when required. I now own a lot of fields with just 17 hours of gameplay.

I think toughest part of starting with nothing is the early logging. Most the time you have one plot with trees and you spend a lot of time with the chainsaw. If getting too bored or not enough time, maybe start with one plot and start with a logging trailer and tractor already. Or put economy on easy to start so you can get some easy early funds to help expand then make it harder.

There has been an update out for the map. It has less tress so you can plant immediately.

If your on PC there's a mod that removes the tree limit called more trees. I think there has to be below 8,000 trees on the map to be able to plant more and the first version of this map has around 11,000. The map update reduced the tree count to around 7,500 from what I can remember. The savegame will be up as soon as I can get the time to sort it out along with the links to all the mods used

Maize I’m pretty sure is the ‘variety’ of corn or is a nickname given if the corn isn’t for full maturity however I’m not a farmer so not 100%

Maize is corn in Spanish.

In the UK its referred to as maize in the US corn, think Giants just chose corn as more people know what corn is than maize

Well I thought when you were chopping it for cow food it's called maize And if you're just harvesting it for ethanol or food it's just corn. I don't know I just watch videos
