Hair goals guurll ❤ My thin ass hair would not even cover the stick 😂

For anyone wanting a more flush style, take your hair and twist it a good length of the way down (you'll have all your hair twisted and that's what keeps it in place), then wrap your hair around the starting point like a cinnamon roll while twisting the end to have a consistant twist the whole way to your ends, using your other hand to hold the bun in place as needed. For the last wrap around, make sure that one is underneath the bun as close to the beginning point as possible (this helps keep it from loosening) Once you've added all your twisted hair to that bun shape, take your stick and poke it through the middle one of the loops of hair closer to the middle than the end and do a scooping motion with it to go under the bun and through the start of your bun (where you would have put a ponytail if you wanted to do that) and back up through the other side's loop. You've essentially weaved the stick through your hair and the bun and stick are pushing against each other which keeps them in tension so it doesn't fall out. You don't get as much volume as how op did it, but it keeps long hair up and out of the way without issue

Im Brazilian but due to laziness I perfected this art of picking anything straight to hold my hair because it grows too much due to laziness too. I do the bun first, doing circles until it's the end of the hair, hold it with my hand. So I pierce it the lower part where all the hair is gathered, with the object in the lower part and push it in the upside direction, but pierce it a bit far from your head. Then, when it shows up there you bring it down but touching the back of your head. Depending on the distance of the first piercing and the second one it gets REALLY tight to the point it hurts, so find what is confortable for you. i think it's worth trying.

I do my hair with a hair stick pretty much daily and I love it! It’s super quick, easy, and secure, and there’s so many different (albeit mostly similar) style options. It can take a bit of practice but it’s totally worth learning

Ok no but there are so many ways to put your hair up with just one pin like this (it can be anything about 6+ inches long and reasonably smooth) and it's so secure and pretty. I have like 4 different little swords I'll use for mine, it's great

I once saw a librarian do the same with a pencil, and that's what I did until I got one of these sticks. The stick is smoother and easier to use but the pencil has the sides so it held the hair better. Now I feel like I want yo grow my hair again 😊

this can gold all day if you twist your hair thoroughly. wrap it around like you're making a bun, you can secure that with the pin (always go into one side, down along the scalp and out the other side, like you're sewing) you can also pull at the bun to flip out part of the twist creating a figure 8 for a much more flush look

I used to do this but using 2 wooden chopsticks to secure it better, one for the main and a second one that gathers the hair left outside the bun and secure with bobypins where needed

Man the girl in front of me in ny choir class would do this with a pencil and I had to resist so hard the urge to pull it out. It was so satisfying when she did it. No worries, I never succumbed.

I always twist my hair up first then weave the stick in. I don't have the coordination required to wrap the hair around the stick like that.

A super secure way is to take your hair your hand like a ponytail, wrap the hair around the hand holding it up, and then wrap the rest around the starting point until you run out, then pull the loop resting on your hand to the other side of the bun made by the wrapping, and then shove the stick through the middle of the loop pick up some hair from the scalp and then push through the dense bundle of hair, it feels tight and lasts all day, looks pretty too

I did that in middle school using a giant DS stylus because my hair tie broke. So you'd turn to look at me and see a bobbling Mario on the back of my head because I had my hair up all the time. My hair is mostly too short to do this now. (I learned by looking at older asian womens hair done up the same.)
