I’ve owned a ton of speakers from budget to very expensive and the Chora 806 is by far my favorite. The soundstage is unreal.

0:10 vs 1:48 3:26 vs 4:38 5:50 vs 7:44 9:45 vs 11:15 0:18 vs 1:56 (very good example of the Chora having more forward sounding vocals) I am an owner of the 806, 826, 906 and soon 948. Here is my take on the Chora and the Aria. I personally prefer the 806 to the 906 because the 806 is a livelier sounding speaker. Vocals jump out more on the 806, on the 906 vocals take a slight step back. The 906 is also a slighty warmer sounding speaker, which some may like. The 806 also has slighty more bass which is suprising, not lower bass but more punch so to say. I love how the Aria looks, the Chora looks like a plain boring speaker. Build quality is way better on the 906. Overall they are more similiar than different, it boils down to personal taste eventually. Advice to people looking to buy the Choras, do not take the white ones as its the only colour that Ive seen in the Focal group that has bulging/warping issues. The grey and black ones are fine.

Muchas gracias tengo el Chora 806 y gracias a todos los vídeos comparativos, pienso exactamente mismo que tu, las voces son espectaculares en el 806 y creo a decir que los de comentarios de arriba le llaman más frío pero yo diría que suena más natural (más planos en el sentido de que es equilibrado),en cambio el 906 es más coloreado, algunos dirían "refinados" pero también depende del gusto. Lo que si le falta al 806 es un poco en el grave y se hace sentir. Yo creo que juntare para irme por uno de la gama de Berilio ya que el 906 vale el doble que el 806 y en mi opinión no vale la diferencia de sonido. Saludos

What do think would be a noticeable step up in performance over the Chora 806? In particular in mid range definition and weight. The Revel m16 and above are getting rave reviews and measurements, maybe them?

@@Cerebrosoft depends on your budget and taste... the Revels, even the M126BE, might be less airy sounding than the 806s. If you want airy and sparkly sounding speakers that measure neutral, Focals are hard to beat. The 806s and 906s measure real well too, with a darn near perfect PIR.

im using chora 826 and im addicted to its airy wide soundstage with mids hitting your heart.i dont know how did they achieve such a sound signature...i used a lot more expensive speakers and chora 826 easily blows them out of in mid/high Airyness...amazing speakers, i bought 2nd pair incase if they are discontinued. How about aria 926 vs chora 826? Does aria 826 have same or better mids/highs? i can buy aria 926 gloss black for 2000usd/pair but dont know if they are any better than choran826? Also cabinet look, design is more attractive on choras espescially dark wood.

@@fluxcapacitor3273 I recently heard the Vestia line, they are, IMO, better sounding than the Choras and Arias despite being a line lower than the Arias. The Vestia is the airiest sounding of the lot, and I was surprised by how detailed they sounded even when compared to my choras and arias. Im planning to sell off my choeas and arias for the vestias, because the vestia is the best of both worlds. The Aria was a little too warm for my liking, the Chora is great but the cabinet isnt. I suggest you take a listen to the Vestias, Im sure you will love it.

Great demo. Whichever of your amp systems your using, it's excellent. I like your room acoustics and your recording and musical selections are muy muy beono. The Chora's have an openess, depth, width and killer transient attack that is more extreme than the Arias. Their bass is pulpier, punchier and more solid hitting. The Aria is no slouch in any of those respects, and is the warmer, fuller, silkier edged, less colored or hyped, less fatiguing and more polished sounding speaker. Completely personal taste. This is fantastic! The music choice is stellar too. I wasn’t sold on the 806 but hearing this is a treat. What are you recording this with? It captured it really well.

Interesting that you used the 806 in place without their available stand. I tried with and without and found that they did benefit from the stands. However, your demo here is good sir and I’d say the 906 is sounding superb. Honestly, I could listen to either of these all day without an ounce of fatigue. Both the 806 and 906 are outstanding but the 906 has an even deeper midrange warmth to it. The driver integration/x-over is just a wee bit nicer IMO on the Aria. Aria is deep whereas I find the 806 could be a tad bit wider sacrificing a little depth. Good job, good music choice, and nice rig 👍🏻

Yo los he comparado en vivo y en directo son muy, muy similares, pero el aria encapsula el sonido y se Oye con más nitidez y alcanza notas más altas.pero a una simple escucha no hay mayores diferencias. Creo que la diferencia más importante es la calidad en los acabados del aria

yo note lo mismo. Son bastante mas claros, brillantes y nitidos. En algunos temas se nota mucho. En otros se empareja. Pero hay diferencia. En el audio hifi a medida que uno va subiendo de gama las diferencias suelen ser mas sutiles. Es normal. Depende de uno si esta dispuesto a pagar esa diferencia sutil.

consejo, escuchelos en vivo. Es imposible saber como suena una bocina por un video de youtube comprimido digitalmente y a traves de otra bocina....Yo tuve los 2. Es como todo...diferencia hay. Es gigante? y....es relativo. Pero se siente. Yo me pase a los aria y hoy no volveria atras...eso hace a los chora malas bocinas? no, al contrario, son excelentes. Pero el aria es bastante mas refinado el sonido y menos "apagado"

Вы никогда не оцените в наушниках объем и открытость звучания, а также окрас тембров. Ария звучит более открыто и масштабно в реальности. И бас у них разный, у Арии он более панчевый, электронику очень хорошо играют. И Арии лучше держат мощность, у них выше перегрузочная способность.

El aria tiene más nitidez y más real (Hi-Fi) sonido ,,la chorra es un chorro de sonido y falta de claridad .Al menos para mí oídos.

Les aria semble plus douce a l'écoute le médium plus propre mais se qui pêche sur les focal c'est l'aigu il peut devenir vite fatiguant

806 is flatter and more two dimensional, the sound coming from a box. The 906 is more spacious and three dimensional, the sound coming from the air. Much more natural and musical sounding, less like a recording and more like live music

Hola amigo, muy buen video, en chile estàn estos dos modelos , son caros de precio, pero estàn, honestamente cuàl recomendarìas de estos dos para música rock? me gustan como suenan los dos , pero tú ères el dueño de ellos y los has escuchado cara a cara, ojalà me ayudes para poder ahorrar y comprar uno de ellos, espero tu ayuda saludos amigo.

En ambos casos vas a requerir un Subwoofer, por lo que en ambos pueden usarse para rock, sin embargo el ampli que tienes puede ser la diferencia, que amplificador tienes ?
