Still listening to this in 2020. Absolutely incredible performance, it brings me to tears every time. The emotion, the sound, it’s perfection. I wonder where they are now. I wish they’d bring back The Naked Choir too!

there are so many awesome renditions out there , spoilt for choice, original by The Family is great, Prince's version is great , Sineads was sensational and now Chris Cornell has done a heart wrenching tribute to Prince with his own cover

Yes, still listening at the end of 2021! I hope they are still singing. One of my all time favourites and probably the most moving a capella music ever performed.

I'm in love with this! It's one of my fav song anyway and in my opinion they just made it a million times better. Wish I they had a full version I could buy.

BBC: Please do humanity great service and release all Gareth Malone's choral series worldwide on DVD, streaming, or posted here. We desperately need the humanity, connection, beauty and inspiration every one of the series bring. Please don't hold these programs hostage in your archives or hoard them for only British audiences -- who have seen them already. Realize the treasure you have locked away.

+captpricestache a little sprinkling of sugar can be quite pleasant but if heap syrup and sugar together it makes you sick. The quality of the singing I do not doubt but the mood is completely lost. If you listen to Prince or Sinead doing it it grabs your guts and wrings out your emotions.This type of rendition might as well be about lollipops.

+bertaga41 I think we might have to agree to disagree on this one. This version does grab my heart with its more intimate emotional feel.The Sinead version has a rawness and fractured defiance that gives it its own unique take on a wonderfully moving song. This is the beauty of music that people can take different things from the same piece and can respect these different opinions.
