Chord Melody and Jazz Harmony are beautiful things to explore. In this collaboration with the incredible Rotem Sivan, he shows us how to go over 5 levels of harmonizing the Jazz standard "All The Things You Are", from a basic beautiful 2-note approach to counterpoint and reharmonization.

My name is Jens Larsen, Danish Jazz Guitarist, and Educator. The videos on this channel will help you explore and enjoy Jazz. Some of it is how to play jazz guitar, but other videos are more on Music Theory like Jazz Chords or advice on how to practice and learn Jazz, on guitar or any other instrument.
The videos are mostly jazz guitar lessons, but also music theory, analysis of songs and videos on jazz guitars.

I’m not a jazz fan - sometimes when I listen to it it seems as if the guitar player is purposely playing all the wrong notes. I just don’t have the ear or talent for it. But your channel is the best - you break down theory and harmony so it is less complex and frustrating so that I can enjoy learning and playing guitar. So thank you for putting these videos out!

Well, I am not a mind reader, but I would imagine that he is aware of the chords but not thinking about them consciously. Playing Jazz is like driving a car, you don't think about each separate movement, you have practiced so that it becomes about the high level decisions

Jens I enjoyed you and Rotem but I couldn’t help notice Rotem’s Guitar...it looks like a 175 body but flat with no f-holes, the neck has different inlays and the head stock says Gibson but the inlay looks like an Epiphone...the tailpiece is different and the electronic’s, interesting including the cork...could you let me know if any of these observations are correct and expand a little...after I got over looking at his guitar the content was very interesting as usual...thank you so much for everything you put out....
