So much of this video shows you what you go through when you are waiting for news be it good or bad when someone you love is in hospital it’s stressful. Chord has written and sang such a beautiful and meaningful song that can mean a lot to the fans. I just realized that he also might talked about his death friend, Cory Monteith since they’re co-stars on the glee set. It honestly sounds like it was written from Lea’s point of view (Cory’s fiancé who soon to be wife but he passed away due to drug overdose) so this song makes it even more sadder than me. At first this video slightly ticked me off, until I realized what it was. This was their happy moment, probably the first time they met. He keeps trying to get back to her, back to that, and he just can't quite get there. He is feeling hopeless and frustrated. She is wearing hospital bracelets, the hospital scene is flickering in and out. This is him panicking at the hospital wishing he could go back and have her back the way she was.

to everyone who doesn't understand this video, the party isn't before the hospital. it's after. after she dies, he's stuck with grief and can't comprehend the fact that she's gone so he starts to see her. the closer he gets to her, the farther she goes and eventually disappears because she's not actually there. the hospital was before the party, it was a flashback. but i do agree that this remix and video doesn't really fit this beautifully devastating song.
