To answer the question as to how much they practice, they rehearse until it's muscle memory. Having attended many Babymetal concerts, I can testify they show up to the venues way early and run through at least two full performances in rehearsal before taking the stage. Sometimes more. And that's just what they are doing while on the road. Su once stated in an interview they rehearsed 2 months for the Tokyo Dome performance. When I saw them at the Forum in 2019, they were rehearsing from around 10am to just before they opened the doors for VIP entry. In fact, VIP entry was delayed because they were still at it.

Speaking as an older woman with a very short "If I was to ever decide to lean that way" woman list, I can't argue with the Moa girl crush 😆. She really has grown up to be so beautiful and still has the smile that lights up the room. She's just cute.

Their choreography has traditionally been tied to the lyrics or theme of songs. This connection must be the reason I immediately fell in love with their choreography despite never even caring about dance groups before. BABYMETAL's choreography helps me feel the song and not just the music itself. An abstract dance to a beat rarely resonates with me. I get the impression that a lot of BABYMETAL fans feel a similar way.

I believe Moametal mentioned that during the period with all three avengers it took a lot from her to adjust to each of the avengers' dancing . I think as you suggest, with the timing and having to be more focussed, and leading the dance. Its also funny how a choreographer and dancer like yourself see Yui and Moa out of time while other reactors who come from a metal backround and not used to seeing dancing with their music are amazed how in sync their dancing is. Thank you for the BM reaction video😍 MOA dances to the song, not to the count or rhythm. I think of it as similar to a small child dancing to a song. YUI has been dancing since she was a little girl, so I think she dances to a solid rhythm, so from a dancer's point of view, she doesn't seem out of place. 3 people who were avengers in YUI's bosom are also the same type as YUI. However, I love MOA's dancing. It is true that it is sometimes very late, but I interpret it as a dance of the soul. Mikiko-sensei said that she would consider the choreography that would allow each individual to shine the brightest at that moment. I like this choreography because it expresses the energetic MOA! it's not how long they practiced dancing, but their chemistry that has been maintained until now. so they are much better and better at dancing and singing along with the amazing accompanying band.

It is funny about the the whole Moa turning into a stunning young woman. I'm too old for her that is for sure, but I always thought all 3 girls were adorable and have felt like a proud older protective brother or uncle watching them grow. Cute kids don't always grow into beautiful or good looking adults. The BABYMETAL girls ( can't 100% say Yui since we haven't seen her in 6 years) all grew up to be stunning. It was Legend XX on Su's 20th bday where I no longer saw Su as a cute girl. She was absolutely beautiful. Same with Moa. She was 17 at that show and had to perform the Black BABYMETAL songs solo for the first time. She was amazing and also was stunning. The fact that these girls were growing up and becoming knockout gorgeous didn't change the fact that I still adored them and felt like a protective family member. I could just see that they went from super cute to super beautiful. I am sure Yui is no exception. If I was younger and brand new to the fandom, I would absolutely have a crush on Moa. Her personality is just too endearing. I still make faint if she smiled at me at a concert. :) Now about the song. I LOVE GJ! This song battles Onedari Daisakusen for my top Black BABYMETAL songs. Love the choreography. And those were my personal favorite costumes at that show. 🤘🦊🤘

Black BABYMETAL songs are not all about the dance, they are about the song - but it is them singing the song while dancing and they are dancing to the lyrics more than to the instruments and they are telling the story. So the choreo (when it isn't about getting the crowd to join in) is also all about the lyrics. For me that is what makes it so much more interesting and better (no offence intended) than all the other choreo done by other groups or dancers. 'GJ' stands for 'Good Job'. They are showing their appreciation to parents and others who go off to work every day and who brave the sales in the shops in order to earn the money and buy all the things they needed as children like food and clothes etc - and they are drawing comparisons with metal concerts, likening the commuter trains with mosh pits and the shop sales with walls of death.

I'm watching a lot of Babymetal reactions and currently follow the "journey" of a Russian reactor. She listened almost exclusively to pop and never liked metal before, but after just one song she already liked the group. A year later and she now has 31 Babymetal reactions. She said something very interesting in her BxMxC reaction: *"The dance is also cool. Although it is not so straightforward, we can say that the dance can't be compared with k-pop, of course. But Babymetal's dance is exactly what I like because they convey the mood of the song, the meaning of the song."* I find it fascinating that I stumbled upon this now, she basically said the same thing I commented in here yesterday. I want to add to my previous comment that through my love for BABYMETAL's choreography I have begun to appreciate the dancing of a few other groups, even though their approach is different.

Good reaction 🤙 I feel when it comes to the dancing that Moa is more charismatic? If you will and Yui is well... A Yuibot lol. It's very evident when you watch rare performances that don't have choreo and are a free for all, Moa just flows effortlessly in the moment while Yui still does her best but you can tell she's very uncomfortable without direction. As others have said great examples of the two dancing styles is their single performances of Moa's LOVE MACHINE and Yui's CHOCOTTO LOVE. Moa's very loose and flowing while Yui is very tight? Yeah! You're right! Babymetal has improved a lot as dancers, mainly Moa in my opinion. Since when I saw the old Babymetal, Yui was very disciplined with the choreography and dancing on time, but Moa was more into interacting with the public and used to get out of line frequently, but it's not something that she cared much about, and neither did the fans. But over the years she has improved a lot, an example that I really like is in the song Brand New Day.

Moa is a classical beauty, and yes, thank goodness they're all adults now. When they were little, we could only say "wow, Moa's gonna be a great beauty." For me a very early realization was that even though these three were very cute/are now beautiful, never were they that way in an exploited way. Much to my joyful surprise, with each performance I watched they felt more and more like my little sisters, or grandchildren (I'm old), of whom I became increasingly protective and proud.

Also, I know a lot of comments are arguing about song vs dance, but I think I agree with you. Dance is where Yui and Moa shine, and the point of Black BabyMetal songs is to showcase the girls, and so there is definitely more emphasis on the choreo. It's allowed to be more a focus and less an accompaniment. As important as it is on all the songs, it's more garnish or embellishment on songs were Su is involved, because the highlight then is Su's vocals. When the girls are up there alone, Su's voice, which is her strength, is substituted by Yui and Moa's dancing, which is theirs.

I really would recommend that you watch the GJ performance with only Moa that they did a few years ago. I love that performance because Moa is just pure joy and I have the video downloaded to my phone.

Great reaction, you can see Moa's progression with GJ performances this Wembley, Legend S (First performance without Yui) and her Budokan 2021 performance. I would recommend reacting to the legend S version, but it would most likely get blocked, so you will most likely only be able to do the Budokan 2021 performance it's up on "for the fox god" 🦊

As they got older, though, I noticed that they're getting less synchronized. I am not sure which one of them was getting slower or faster. But, I think that's when I have been noticing that Yui's limiting her movements, especially the five fox festival, their last concert with Yui. Then, she was reported not feeling well on Legend S. So, I was guessing that it's one of the reasons. Nice reaction. It's been a while😊.

I mean, Moa is empirically stunning. Definite girl crush. But younger Moa is just endearing. Personally, I'm not all that conflicted. I am delighted by younger Moa's performances and the way I can see that spirit has carried over. But there's a pretty clear line that was crossed sometime around the Metal Galaxy tour where she changed from adorable to breathtaking. And it's not like I'd hit on her, regardless. :p I just appreciate how she's matured from afar. If I looked at this performance and thought anything but, 'Kawaii!' then I'd be conflicted. XD But I don't. And she's undeniably gorgeous now, and I don't think she'd want to be seen as her younger self forever just because she came on the scene when she was ickle. I wouldn't worry about it. 🤘🦊🤘

If you have awkward feelings about little Moa DO NOT watch Love Machine. I also maintain that the grown-Moa solo performance of GJ is the superior version.

Moa is and was well known as the one who always out of beat (synch) dancer onthe babymetal performances, Yui in the other hand was always the sharpest dancer inthe original babymetal.

No need to feel awkward about Moa. I do have a very unpopular opinion though. I don't think Moa is that attractive. I am not saying she is ugly. Not by a long shot. I just find her to be an average looking Japanese woman. Her smile and personality are top notch though. 🙂

I believe that Moa is one of the most beautiful girls I have seen. And I‘m relatively certain that that’s not only bias speaking. And her irresistible smile makes it even better.

Moa is the prettiest of them all. No reason to feel awkward for stating the obvious. Your next reaction just has to be Love Machine. Or, better, Chokotto Love first, Love Machine second. Because they were performed in that order, one after the other. To avoid any misunderstandings: Both are covers, performed only once and lip-synced.

PLEASE make sure you make a react not focusing on the dancing and just realize the spectacle of it.
