Excellent explanation as always. This was the first time this song was performed outside of Japan. I love this song so much that I have watched many fancams of it and every time I see it, I am moved. I also love the choreography there, so I have no problem with you replaying that part over and over again.

I've very recently watched reactors (strangely all from Scotland) who tell us their dancing is not important , that the guitars and drums matter, not the dancing. Thank you so much for helping us to remember/notice that this is a big reason for the success of BabyMetal. BabyMetal is teaching us to dance to Metal music.

When I heard Time Wave I wasn't very interested in the song, but when I saw them live it became one of my favorites. This choreography is my favorite from The other One album.

Su Metal own personal flare to her dance routine was always mentioned to her by her choreographer, asking Su Metal why she did that? She will answer that she did what she was taught and didn't think she changed anything. Su Metal always apologies and said she will change it back to original, but the choreographer said what she did was better, don't change it.

About Moa being made for the stage (honestly they all are), they are part of the Amuse talent agency and this is how she got started with them: "She was signed with the talent agency Amuse at the age of 8 when she won the Semi-Gran Prix in the "Ciao Girl Audition 2007" held by the company.[2] The audition had more than 10.000 children participating in the big event." So yeah, I would be surprised if they didn't. 🙂 Something else to know Sakura Gakuin ones performed Spending All My Time with Perfume on stage live at Amuse Fest 2017. Which is my guess has this dancing/hand technique, Momoko was one of the members that time performing that song with Perfume, at age 14. I posted a link on Discord.

Interesting comment on her confidence. I think we see that in a bunch of the new choreo - Metali, Maya, Believing and this one. Su seems much more, I don't know, committed maybe to her dance parts and it really shows.

Thanks for your hints and explanations; they make me apreciate the performance even more. And repeating important passages is fine with me; Elizabeth Zharoff AKA The Charismatic Voice does this all the time during her vocal analysis and it really helps focussing on the important details. Su's vocal abilities let us sometimes overlook that she is also a passionate and agile dancer. Sometimes I miss the slightly anarchic young energy of their early days, but in terms of dancing and engaging with the audience, this years tour showed us the best Babymetal there ever was.

Nice, I was waiting for this one! Time Wave might have my favorite BABYMETAL choreography yet (and my favorite song on THE OTHER ONE). Obviously Moa and Momo are killing it here but Su really gets a chance to shine alongside them! It would be nice if we always had fancams like this one to see the full choreography up close! I'm not sure if you've already reacted to it or not but I would love to see your thoughts on the choreography for "From Dusk Till Dawn (Budokan 2021)". It's certainly not the most technical choreography but I think it might be some of the most emotionally charged that they've performed. And they've only performed that song 3 times so far!

I would really like to see more dancing from Su. There‘s something special about her style, no idea what it is. I always thought it was her dorkiness still shining through, but I don't see that here. Maybe her (comparatively) long limbs are part of it.

Moa is an incredible performer, not only during the choreo, she also masters on crowd interaction, you need to see her. Momoko is considered one of the best dancers from Sakura Gakuin. Thankyou for this analysis. About Moa and Momo taking the lead, I think that has always been the case and Sue concentrates on her singing. Great to hear you praise how much Moa and Sue have improved in their dancing. One other question I have wanted to ask you is... What do you think of their footwear? Do you think it is a good design for the dancing they are doing? Always like watching your reaction analysis as you seem to be the only Choreographer / Dancer that does these reactions and you are also very good at it.

Thanks to your video I really got to appreciate this song and its choreo a lot more. I was in the audience, being disappointed that they played TW instead of Synco, so, like the geezer that I am, I spent most of the song mumbling to myself how much Synco would have been better, instead of paying attention to this awesome choreo! 😂

Have you seen Metalverse yet? It is 5 member unit made up of Sakura Gakuin grads; Promoted as an alternate universe babymetal( same costumes, different color scheme) They just had their 1st solo concert.

I have never really paid any attention to the choreography in this song before now. It looks so cool. I've always thought of Time Wave as a 10/10 song before, now it's a 20/10.

If you want to catch Moa having a good time you really should look at the "official" Kingslayer video recently released - Omajination version I love but the "official" is pretty bloody special :D TOTALLY agree on the dancing - I never really noticed until I saw Moa at wembley from the front of the stage during Divine Attack body popping - she looked so damned cool 😂. I agree she's in about the best place she could be (she could be a huge jpop star - but she probably wouldn't get outside Japan).

Moa has really come into her own, and Momo is the perfect little sister to sync with. Much closer in personalities to Momo than Yui, I think Moa works extra hard to be that big sister for Momo. Momo skill shines as well. When the artist loves what they do, you see perfection.

You’re doing fine there and I love this song but the camera phone quality is painful to my ears. Amuse won’t let Su be 100% metal in case it hurts their asset - no screams - which Nemophila fixed for them with their version of Megitsune. Try it. 😊
