At first I thought BM would only sing with BMTH, but I never expected that BM would specially choreograph and even have background animation for this BMTH song. Well chosen. This version gives a clearer look at the girls' choreography than the official version. Thanks for your great reaction.
@Osama_Bin_Ladder8 ай бұрын
The background animation wasn’t babymetal’s. I saw bmth play this song last year before the live performance with babymetal and they used the same animation.

Nice one and welcome back ... and well done your Discord for having you watch this particular video, it is the best one to actually see what they are doing with the choreo. I think the bits you don't like are where they are dancing to the lyric (the meaning, not the sound of the lyric) rather than the beat, that always tends to be where you are most critical of their choreo, but it is what most of their choreo is about.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。(Just so you know, an official MV was released by BMTH on Dec.12. This Omajination version is excellent though.) They performed REAL "Kingslayer" together 4 times in Japan. I witnessed the 2nd REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍. In an interview Momometal made an interesting comment like : (1) The theme of this choreo is "collision of souls" that has an image like we throw the power multiplied by the two bands at the audience. (2) We danced with our full power and rigid determination thinking "We do not care no matter what happens to us after the performance" The one thing worried me was the statement at the end of this song in the final show in Tokyo on Nov.4. As you heard, Oli said "We are never gonna play Kingslayer without them, ever again. Just not right." I know BABYMETAL and BMTH are going to appear in the same festivals next year in USA and Europe. I look forward to seeing them preform Kingslayer together again on those occasions. But BMTH should perform this amazing and popular song even without BM being actually there. (ps. I found BMTH played a virtual "Kingslayer" in the concert in Bangkok, Thai on Nov. 7 after Japan. That's good 👍)

Well that the choreography was inpedrictable. We have 4 Songs put together into one song. In the original Performance Su had to learn her Limit. She was totally out of breath , when she had to sing. And then they always had moving parts: go we down to bring the Horizon (2) or does he come up (3, 4). And then they also had to sing.

Thanks for your analysis. It is actually quite refreshing to have someone criticising the performance in a constructive and competent way, suggesting different avenues that could have been taken. Many reactors don't really do that because of the real risk of offending staunch fans, but I think you found that sweet spot.

I kind of wonder if this choreo was put together on fairly short notice. It's not like this is one of their songs that they're going to perform regularly, so they may not have had a lot of time to learn it for a handful of performances, so they just kept it simple.

Yay, nice one! I actually learned a few things too about choreography, thanks! Also, can we all just take a moment to acknowledge how hard Babymetal went with their synchronized headbangs? Epic! Oh, if you enjoy some of the funny stage antics, just look up random Babymetal shorts on KZfaq from their EU headliner tour they just wrapped up. There were so many hilarious things! Mainly Moa goofing off, messing with Su during Road of Resistance, tickling Momo during Metali entrance, she even "stole" a stage camera and ran around doing her own selfies hahaha. Also, Omajination channel has a really cool 2-parter short of Moa and Momo's antics vs one another during the entire Babyklok tour, including one time she made Momo mess up her choreo LOL. 🤘🦊

Nice reaction. Ollie said that the kawaiiness of Babymetal allowed him to go even harder. I think this goes for the stage performance as well. While Babymetal was doing that kawaii choreography the band was going pretty hard. Which I think is one of the reasons so many people feel like this is a Babymetal song. The Juxtaposition of it all. Also, if they had done what you thought they missed the opportunity of then it would have been predictable. Which they clearly were trying not to be. And then they brought it all together in the end. Those headbangs down to the floor were really hard. Ever since this show Moa in particular has been doing that deep headbang during their own shows. Moa picked up the tittle Best Metal early in her Babymetal career. An amazing performance by all. They performed this a few times during this music festival Next Fest in Japan. From what I understand BMTH put it together. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises

In Yui's absence, I started to notice that Su and Moa were so in sync, since the positions changed and they're side by side. Then watching their previous lives, sometimes Yui and Su were in sync, but sometimes Moa and Su too. So I am not sure which of Moa and Yui are faster, but I read a few that Yui was the accurate one. Not sure of course, lol.

Nice reaction, as always (: I know that many have already told you that the official video came out a few days ago but I am glad that you have reacted to this video since in the official version we cannot appreciate the choreography since the video has many cuts. To be honest, I didn't expect the girls to do a new choreography for this song, it was a pleasant surprise.
@daveevans59418 ай бұрын
Thank you for your insights. I really liked the choreography. The wide stanced stomping really evoked a 'monster ' for me - especially when they moved together as a combination 'monster';. And the struck pose with a 360 degree turn on one leg was a highlight for me - so innovative yet typically BabyMetal. I do think their choreo is usually perfect in melding the music to the words. Live, they infect energy to the crowd like no-one else. The way they interact with the audience using choreography just in the way they smile and wave is something I'd love to hear your thoughts on. They never dance on their own - they dance as part of their audience.

It's a little strange that this has been recommended now, since an official live recording of this performance has just been released a few days ago. I'm not surprised that this choreography seems a little random. I recognize a lot of the moves from other songs. Since this is not a BABYMETAL song and they have never performed it live before, I guess they put this together on relatively short notice after having heard that they'd have the chance to perform it with BMTH.

I wonder how much of a heads up they got. Not that I think they threw it together overnight, but I do get the impression they didn't have as much time to develop it. And also because it was for a festival and not for a BabyMetal concert, and because the girls have been on their own tour for months now, I wonder how well everyone's schedules lined up. I imagine it must have been difficult to make this choreo happen. Certainly they wouldn't have had much, if any, time in the actual studio with Mikiko. I got the impression the emphasis was on simplicity and fun, something the girls could pick up quickly and easily and have a blast with. And they certainly seemed to. Especially Moa. XD (Have I mentioned I love her so so much? :p)🤘🦊🤘

The song has 2 parts/bands/styles intertwined, for example BMTH uses the F-word in the lyrics, Babymetal does not. And that duality came back in the choreography as well, as you said it felt like they were switching between styles.

11:20 YES! I feel like this section could have been an opportunity for Moa and Momo to shine, but Mikiko went for something simpler just like with Metalism. Moa and Momo are good dancers, Momo's skills were noticed when she participated in Girls 999 planet, I'm surprised that they don't take advantage of them as they could. The best parts of Moa dancing in my opinion are changes she made to the choreo.
