I ended up buying Sakura Gakuin's first album and a couple of their small flags just today. I never ever expected doing this. This is more than just music and dance.

Contrary to what people think Sakura Gakuin wasn't an actual school or academy, it was simply an idol group with a school theme. Many past members have gone on to have successful careers in their own right. The obvious one is Babymetal (Su, Moa, Yui and Momoko), but others include Kano, Soyo, Momo and Gumi who formed @OneFive after they graduated, Hana Taguchi (the 3rd girl in this video) who is a dancer and theater actress, Airi Matsui and Mariri Sugimoto who are both models, Ayaka Miyoshi is a model and actress (she was in the live action Alice in Bordelands series), Ayami Muto is a singer who has released a few albums of her own in Japan, Yuzumi Shintani and Sara Kurashima are actresses and have hosted an online show together, Mirena Kurosawa is a stage actress. There are many others who have since joined other idol groups, and most recently former SG members Miko Todaka and Sakia Kimura joined Babymetal at 4 of their Japanese shows where they sang and performed with Su, Moa and Momoko as members of the fan named ChibiMetal.

This is the epitome of cuteness for me. It all fits perfectly, the girls, the music, the choreography, the lyrics... Maybe it's just me, but I think for some reason this sort of things only works with Japanese girls. No idea why, but a group of Western girls would never have the same effect on me. Kawaii is a step further than just cuteness. Or I'm just weird. Either way, I'm smiling like an idiot every time I watch this. I don't know whether you had the time to follow the lyrics, even those are cute.

Who knew this song would be the anthem for Moa's culinary excursions! "Bring Moa Chicken!"

This is the 2nd generation. By the time they took over YUI and Moa already had their bodies toned up from BABYMETAL. And they had the biggest motors in SG anyway. Great job by Hana keeping up with them. The choro went into overdrive compared to the 1rst generation. Buy to be fair Minni Patti preceded SG and the girls just kept the same choro from when they first learned to dance. Minni Patti, before SG was produced by KobaMetal, the producer of BABYMETAL.

So the most successful girl to come out of Sakura Gakuin is probably Ayaka Miyoshi: she is a model for Gucci and other brands, and she has a primary role on Netflix's series "Alice in Borderlands". Matsui Airi is another successful model, while Ayami Muto is a moderately successful city pop singer. These are all girls from the first generation, who are now adults! We have to wait to see the latest generations what can become :)

the most popular to the three is definitely Moa, she's often pick because shes really have a way with words , but there's no doubt that Yui has something she have since she's small, she can outshine everyone there by just doing her thing she have ways of dancing that can make it more cute like adding simple gesture to the song, but the thing is she's very shy there's one point her teacher pointed out that she accidentally spilled water by being nervous she quickly say "why would you tell that" the way she suddenly said that means she's really aware of people and maybe don't want to think she's clumsy

If Yui's doing "her thing," it probably means she's doing "the thing," and everyone else is a little off. Yui-bot was considered one of the more skilled dancers in Sakura Gakuin.

My 2nd favorite group in SG. Of course the heavy music club is my favorite ;) 🤘🦊🤘 I secretly hoped Hana would have somehow joined BABYMETAL but still very happy Momoko made it. I think Yui was happiest in her days at SG. She loved BABYMETAL but I think SG was really her type of thing. Where as I feel Moa was born for BABYMETAL. Hana is awesome too and has her own social media accounts.
