My mother does too. My dad too. (It’s a long story 😅). I was the scapegoat to one, mixed roles to the other (as I was his only child) I decided to spend Christmas 2022 by myself. I bought myself a Nintendo Switch and a snowboard. It was, no joke, the best Christmas of my life. Haven’t talked to a single one of them since. You’re not alone. Best of luck on your journey 💜

I’m almost 36. So you have some years on me, but trust me, once you free yourself in whatever way works for you (emotionally detach and heal), age doesn’t matter. I feel younger every day since I’ve been free.

There's a great line in a Mary Gauthier song, 'Drag Queens in Limousines": "Sometimes you got to do what you gotta do. And pray that the people you love will catch up with you". I've been waiting my entire life (I'm 69 now) and those that are still here are still stuck in the 3D materialistic/consumerist matrix. I'm really not waiting -- or expecting -- for things to change, but I do keep an open mind.
