Most of the present and former inhabitants of Chróścice are convinced that our village was founded in 1268. They could read such information in historical books about Chróścice. The authors of these books refer to the oldest document about Chróścice from 1268. But it is this document that is the proof that this is not the case, it is proof that Chróścice was not founded in 1268. This document confirms the thesis of German historians who claim that Chróścice was founded long before 1268. It is time to clear up this misunderstanding.
