As someone else said, People watch videos from a competetive ranked online FPS game with a huge playerbase. They see one playereing a tryhard and go like "Oh my god people in this game are so mean Overwatch community is cancer. Listen dude, when you say that you practicaly yell "Hey guys, I never played a online FPS or ranked MOBA in my life!" It took dunkey months to get enough shit taling to make a 5 minute video. It'd be 5 minutes for 10 minutes worth on LoL or CoD.

Nah. Dunk need over a month of playing (actual playing, lot of lvls difference between the videos) to pull out 5 min montage of salt (on ranked games where no matter if it's pc/console or what kind of game you are gonna get yelled at for playing anything outside the meta/unusual ideas), when in CoD from 5 min of playing you got 1 month of trash talk blaming footage when they you decide to play quick match with with no ranking.

TriggerHappyTristan Yeah sometimes that happens, but getting a lot kills doesnt automatically mean you are doing good. Keep in mind that its a game about teamwork, so if you kill the team and your team doesnt know how to advance properly together before they come back and get taken out then it doesnt matter.

The baby soundboard is fucking genius, but I'm too lazy to go through the effort of setting up micspam just to tell whining tryhards to fuck off. Blizzard needs to add an actual key command to play crying baby noises in the team chat mic feed or some other mockery (like a pre-recorded whiney nerd voice saying "Why don't YOU switch?? We're losing because of YOU!"). I think if they already added a 'gg ez' filter to make fun of people, then anything is possible.

Auto muting voice is nice. I'm sorry, I'm super lurking on old videos and comments, but yeah, I stopped playing when Sombra was released and came back about a week ago. Just auto-muting has made the game soooo much better. Lots to enjoy when you can't hear the impotent rage of a man who would go pro if only his silver teammates weren't the standard array of online insults.

Don't worry, you aren't missing out on much anyways, there are 2 game modes, payload and capture and the shitty people are just as bad in the quick play. This game is for people that like the same thing over and over and over, that's why they get obsessed with what hero you play, because they just want the same game they won with once.

God I miss when Overwatch was this good 😢 I had a ex who played this daily and I was a huge reaper main. Felt like absolute dookie getting rolled on when it came to checkpoint matches but I tell ya, when a team comes together and executes a plan perfectly it felt majestic ✨ seeing who made POTG and the unique skins were a big deal and every now and then you’ll find a team who just wants to goof off and have a little fun aside from the mission at hand. Those days are long gone but forever a part of me somewhere. ✌🏼
