It disturbs our sens of rythm i assume. Even if we're supposed to have a strong one.

I was playing a march one time, and the irritating rhythmical clapping started, like sea-lions. So I changed to a jig as fast as I could play it. It made no difference. They just clap faster, so a slow air is next. That works.

Great bit of playing but I think I prefer the march version.

Interesting, he skipped the 4th part. I know it's good sense not to attempt a part if it might not come out right, and the 4th part is comprised of D-doublings and Tachums, not fun in a jig, I must agree.
