I grew up in the 757 area that has more of a east coast/southern dialect. Moved to that Roanoke area and they are country as hell. Definitely a culture shock

Yeah Virginia is pretty diverse… Northern VA/DC Metro is fast pace with east coast vibes. 757 has an urban coastal vibe, whereas the rest of VA is country and southern.
