I wasn't the biggest Byrd fan but he was a good fighter, underrated even. Great defense, some of the best ive seen actually and could pour on the offense when he needed. I wasn't a big fan but I didn't dislike him either, I did respect him though.

37 answered punches and Thunder still didn't go down! Thankfully Byrd had feathers for fists because if he had power, Thunder could have been seriously hurt or even killed here. In 2022, this fight would have been stopped 20 punches earlier. Boxing has become a lot safer nowadays because referees generally stop fights after about 10 or so unanswered punches. The rule of thumb now is that if you are under attack and you stop punching back, the ref is going to step in and stop the fight, regardless of whether or not your senses are intact.

Jim was tough but you did notice he was hurt still those sharp fast punches add up Chris was the most skilled mid carder at hw I ever seen fought like a less skilled ver of the man on commentary

Jimmy Thunder FAR too slow and stiff. Fights like a bodybuilder. Shame because he could have been made so more elastic.
