For me, I don't don't think it's necessarily bad that he stayed on the air and stuck around. The part that sucks is that he completely changed. He's now close friends with the very people he used to goof on for being morons, he's extremely left wing and promotes idiotic left wing ideals, and just sits and gushes over talentless celebrities as if they've cured cancer. I know it's natural for people to change as you get older, we all do it to an extent, but he's become the exact polar opposite of the guy we all loved 30 years ago. I think that was his biggest blunder, (at least in my worthless opinion).
@chadlaflamme7942
@chadlaflamme7942 2 ай бұрын
@asev01 I agree 100%. Kind of why I think he stuck around too long. I don't think his original show was maintainable in this day and age. He now supports the same people who tried to have him banned for many years. I don't think the bits he used to do would be allowed these days anyways, I think a lot of young people just don't know how crazy that show used to be. His guests were a lot of hookers and homeless people who were willing to do.. anything.. for a drink or some cash. It was out of hand lol

yeah at one point opie and anthony had rogan, bill burr, patrice o'neal, louis CK, and other comics, all as regulars on their show, and they were on sirius xm, they wanted to start something where all these guys would have a platform on their channel and sirius was lowballing the hell out of them. They really weren't interested in investing any time or money into it. Sirius never tried to develop anything past howard when it came to that style of entertainment. They've had other show, still do, but you can see they're putting minimal effort into those shows. SXM let all those guys have their own podcasts and blowing up on youtube on their own, instead of looking to the future.

I remember when Howard boasted about coming in to work and being there in studio. Now he just phones it in like every other podcaster. Not that it matters anymore, he killed off the funny years ago.
