I don't get all the negative comments about a "non-car guy" enjoying a nicely customized Camaro. So what if the car doesn't know he's got a LS3 under the hood? I'm pretty sure he knows he's got a V8. Apparently he knows how to drive the thing though. Even if he didn't... Can't he just enjoy some great old American iron instead of the ho-hum Mercedes that all these guys drive? Captain America drives a Chevy for goodness' sakes! And that Iron Man Robert Downey Junior also drives custom Amarican cars is kinda nice too, no?

Good for Jay helping him out. Time to call The Avengers! i shed a tear every time i see one of these classic 67's turned from an original classic into one of these franken-cars. There are enough aftermarket parts and panels out there today to actually build a car from scratch. I wish these builders would do just that, use modern repop kits to build these cars and leave the vintage cars in original condition.
@OMGWTFLOLSMH
@OMGWTFLOLSMH 5 жыл бұрын
By the same token, there are a zillion original cars out there. These are a nice change of pace, plus they're fun to drive. The originals are poorly designed clunkers. Yeah, they look cool, but I'll take a modern car any day.
@hyfy-tr2jy
@hyfy-tr2jy 5 жыл бұрын
if you consider roughly 250,000 67s produced a "zillion" (with some small percentage of them still in existence and in original condition) I would be willing to bet that all variations combined there are less than 50,000 left in the wild. If you think that is a population large enough to disregard conservation, then I am not sure what you think of as limited supply. As I also stated, there are untold numbers of available repop parts out there where you can literally build a Camaro with zero original parts and that is where these modern versions should be built off of.

I'm typically a "keep them as original as possible" person, but the modernization on this is so subtle that it doesn't take away from the vehicle as a whole. It's a gorgeous car. Just gorgeous.

Best thing about that car is that it's so clean in its design. Nothing on it just for the sake of it. Perfect.

This was a great Episode. Many of us have owned Camaro’s not so many of us have owned one of a kind Super Cars (though we Love all of Jay’s episodes) this one just a little more relatable. Me:1979 Berlinetta T-Tops, 4 speed straight stick 350. In a beautiful sky blue.

Those classic american cars age so well, never had time for them when younger but as you get older you begin to apreciate older cars more. Love the body styling up there with the best from europe for me.

Another fantastic episode Jay! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode as so many or your cars you talk about are custom. I have a 67 Chevy II 4 Door with an LS3 as I can certainly relate to the custom side of this Speedkore set up. I would love to see a future episode with a ‘66 or ‘67 Chevy II in stock form or full on custom. Thanks again and keep the great episodes coming!!
