A new, more balanced, 2024 stereo mix. The abrupt fadeout has also been fixed.

Just a single week at No1 between Georgie Fame and The Troggs but boy this song outdid both of those in my view and still sounds fresh and exciting...even more so after this remarkable makeover. Fabulous.

I just left a comment for a new video of The Diamonds doing The Stroll. Upon investigation, I found that the song almost did as well as Little Darlin'. It actually made #1 on the US Cashbox chart.

Andy White who played drums on "love me do" on the Beatles record played drums on the recording on this record

🎧👍👍 Hi, Pat: When Sonny was doing those Canadian videos, I was very surprised by how many of the songs he as an American didn't know. I have just recently witnessed the same phenomena with a person from England not knowing 1900 Yesterday and both a Canadian and an American not knowing Come Back & Shake Me. I just mention it as I find it fascinating how isolated we were form each other at least in a musical sense. Chris Farlowe doesn't even show up on the Toronto CHUM charts and yet, here he is at number one. I find these differences quite interesting. It's a good song by him and I see it was written by Jagger and Richard. Thank you for all the great work you have been doing as well as helping to enlighten me to some of the differences in our cultures.

Hi Bill. I've been a regular listener of the European radio stations over the years, especially the Dutch and German stations. A lot of North American hits charted over there that didn't do anything here in the UK. So I know a lot more about American music than many other Brits. I enjoy discovering old records recommended to me by the commentators on my channel. Keep them coming !

Superb single, deserved number one and the derivative version. Love the stereo backing vocals that you don’t get too often on records. Quite like Del Shannon’s cover version also. Great choice Pat.

Not sure how you do it Pat, but this track is another totally original sounding 60s classic but with such enhanced quality. A real treat to listen to as usual.

Thanks David. Most of the time and effort went into enhancing the drums. That's what really makes a difference to the dynamics of a mix.

Damn it RW , you done it again . I recently bought this track on Amazon and was delighted with their newer official stereo version . I saw your video pop up in my subs list today and I thought ..how can he improve on the official version ? When the opening strings started ( I love the string arrangement on this record ) ..I thought , similar to my Amazon version I purchased , much of a muchness ...... and then those drums kicked in ...I was SOLD ... Great job as usual RW

Fantastic song and great remix. This recording also features Jimmy Page and Albert Lee on guitar. And Andy White on drums. I just compared this remix with a lipsync playback from 1966 by Chris Farlowe in the German Beat-Club, funny! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pL1yhtCXv7rNZKc.htmlfeature=shared
